Garage Foundation and Driveway Install
Freddy Torres, although very polite, left me with a big mess. His communication was terrible and it was usually me calling him to find out if he was working each day, which he usually was not. He completed about 10% of the work and has yet to return or provide a refund. After staking a 20' square foundation, it was over four feet out of square! He never even touched the driveway. Please beware and do NOT give him a large deposit up front! Good Luck....The pic attached shows what he had done over the course of three weeks.......almost nothing.

I'm a general contractor and hired Freddy to do a deck for a NW DC home. Freddy gave me a good price of $7250. I realized he was not licensed in DC but he showed me a MD license number (which I didn't check) I gave home 50% to start and to buy all materials. He did neither. He told me he had to cash the check prior to starting work. He started a week later. He dug holes in the back yard that were 30" deep as required for the inspection. Once the Inspector left I noticed that his guys filled the holes back with dirt. When I checked the hoes were 24" deep. I made them fix it. He framed the deck 1/4 of the way and told me it was ready for inspection. I knew it wasn't. Not even close. I fired him and hired anther licensed deck contractor for $8900. I have been calling Freddy to return my money for a week now. He is very polite, but NEVER does anything he says he will do. He needed to come clean the trash from the yard and told he he would 7 days in a row and never did.
He made me so angry. $3625 for 9 deck footing. That's what I paid. Then paid the additional $8900 to complete the deck.
