We had Schmittys Pool Tec out 3 times, each time we were assured our pool was working some issue seemed to arise. Though we found the Tech to be brusque, and the communication poor, we were more concerned with the quality of work and that the pool was fixed. On the second visit we were told the issue was fixed and all that was needed was to fill the pump basket with water on the next day. Unfortunately, the basket would not fill, and water just flowed into the pool. Once again, we contacted Schmittys Pool Tec and were told we needed to reinitiate a claim! The tech came today and castigated my husband because the pool wasn't full enough, and the vacuum had become unattached. We are new homeowners, and a pool is new to us, and we are eager to learn and and take responsibility for this. BUT then he said the pump basket was in backwards and if he came out again he would report us to our home warranty company as abusive and neglectful homeowners. Not only are we not neglectful, we did not touch the basket or know it was in backwards. This was something Schmittys Pool Tec should have caught the last time they were here, as the only contact we had with the basket was to fill it. Needless to say, WE contacted our home warranty company immediately, and Schmittys Pool Tec will not be coming to our address again. We have no problem being corrected for OUR mistakes, but such disrespect and threats are not acceptable.

Did an insurance job for us. Took parts out of filter that he wasn’t supposed to. Didn’t show how to use new heater and didn’t finish hooking up pool line. Said it wasn’t part of contract for a two dollar part. No invoice for job. Now doesn’t answer phone….

Schmittys came to fix my pump and I am extremely happy. He was early both for the initial service call and the second time to install the new pump. He was very focused on completing the work properly and quickly. He explained everything to me until I understood what I needed to do to maintain my equipment. He answered every question I had. I would totally have him work on my equipment again next time I need anything. Totally a 5 star experience!
