Extremely unprofessional. By far the worse company I’ve ever worked for. Made me wait a whole week for a background check after promising me it would only take a day or 2. Then they worked me for four days and on the 5th day they told me they had no more work for me after promising me they had plenty of work to last the whole summer. They take 30 lunch breaks out of your check but will only let you take a break for 10-15 minutes before demanding you get back to work, and if you try to take your whole 30 minutes they will send you home. I worked 4 days with but they only payed me for 3. When I brought this to their attention we calculated hours and came to the conclusion they paid me 8 hours short, when I go to pick up the rest of my money they hand me a check for $55. $55 for an 8 hour work at $18/hr, that doesn’t add up. When I called John, the owner, he called me a liar and said we didn’t agree it was 8 hours and that I wasn’t getting any more money. I lost easily about a thousand dollars trying to work for this company. After seeing the quality of work they do, the quality of painters they hire, and just the total disorganization and dysfunction of this company, I wouldn’t recommend anyone work for or hire this company.

I would not hire Scollo Painting because they are unreliable. I made an appointment with him to come to my house for an estimate and he never showed up. He never returned my three phone calls to try to find out if he was lost, if I had the wrong time, or if we got our signals crossed. Who knows if he would show up to do any kind of painting job and just take your money.

Scollo Painting Inc. painted the entire inside 2 story house just before we moved in about 5 years ago. Did a very good job for a good price.

Permits

John Scollo painted the exterior of our home. He did not prep several critical areas and shortly after the work was completed large paint blisters and bubbles were apparent. We contacted John more than 10x and he promised to fix all defects. Since then six month have passed and our complaint has been ignored. I am very disappointed and cannot recommend Scollo Painting.
