Chris put on a small back porch overhang for us this autumn. We have tried for 3 years to get this project done via 2 other contractors that came recommended to us. Both of those contractors promised to do the work and then disappeared from the scene. I found Chris with a bit of Googling. Chris initially came out to have a look at the area and discuss the project the same day I called him. He was able to special order the parts we needed with no hassle. When he finally did start the project, Chris set up his work area every day and cleaned it all back up again at the end of the day. I was most impressed with Chris’ workmanship throughout the process and his endless patience with me who pelted him with hundreds of questions and texts before, during, and after the project was done. He never complained. He just went about his business and always came to work with a positive attitude each day. His patience even carried over when we had a water well issue while his project was going on that necessitated digging up part of the work he had completed. Not only did he not complain, but he even tried to help us fix it! It was the same when one of the parts he ordered didn’t meet the specs it was intended for. He ordered a new part for the project and, though it was more expensive than the one he was originally using, he took that expense on himself stating it was his oversight that made the original part come up short of the demand. We had 2 small issues with the project after it was completed. Both issues were VERY minor but not so minor that Chris didn’t respond to them either time I contacted him. He means it at the end of a project when he says, “If there are any problems down the line, just let me know.” We did and he was on them immediately. Chris is a very pleasant person who cares about the work he’s doing and it shows – beginning, middle, and end!

By AnonymousAugust 24, 2017Kitchen Remodel$33,000
We contacted Jones Contracting for a kitchen remodel and met with Chris. Was a bit unorthodox for us as they are from Erie but their estimate was in line with the other local providers and their references checked out. All in all it was a good experience even with a few setbacks that were uncontrollable, after calling Chris he was able to sort them out quickly and get us moving along again. Thank you for our BEAUTIFUL kitchen!!

In my experience with this business, this contractor is a fraud. Chris Jones puts on a good pitch but the reality is that he takes large deposits from customers and never finishes the Jobs he starts. The reviews and photos on this website are from his friends and people who he knows to make him look good! He is a liar and steals money. This is my experience with Jones Contracting LLC and Chris Jones. He has done this to plenty of other people as well, and this can be found by Doing a little homework. You will see for yourself what a fraud this guy and his "company" truly is. His company consists of him and one worker who both don't know what they are doing. Oh and he pays this one guy off the books and his insurance(which has lapsed if you actually call Erie Insurance) won't cover this worker. Be prepared for a legal battle if you decide to do business with this fraud. Hey chris - should probably start with some factual
Info regarding your insurance and bonding information listed on this website.
Looks like we can add false advertising to the list of things you scam people on. Oh, and why have a PO Box for your business? Don't want people to be able to find you? Oh, and why have a Philadelphia phone number with a random extension? You live and work in Erie.As with any contractor you decide to hire, I recommend doing a background check as well.
Beware of Jones Contracting LLC!
Chris jones also has done business as whitetail construction services - make sure you search for this company as well.
Response from Scott Brown Dba Sjb Home Repairs August 7, 2017This review has complete false allegations and is merely to try and discredit the company. Firstly, Chris is the Chief Executive Manager of this LLC. Secondly, all of our customers have certificates of insurance made out to them and sent directly to them by our insurer. This nameless individual is making an attempt to slander the company and has also included the allegation of using a Philadelphia phone number on this site because of something that BuildZoom does to the profile not us. This individual needs to let their name be known and show valid proof of their allegations for this review to remain. We can prove their claims to be false. -
By Dave M.August 24, 2016Master Bedroom and Bath Suit$45,20035 days
I contacted Jones Contracting and spoke with Chris, he was very polite and answered my questions before I even had him out to look at the project. When he came to meet me he was very professional and seemed very knowledgeable. I had a small wait before he could get started but it was worth the wait!! The crew did a wonderful job and they too were polite. My wife is ecstatic with her new master bedroom and bath suite which in turn makes my life great! Thank you all at Jones Contracting for the wonderful job, two thumbs up!!

My grass was getting pretty high and I needed someone to cut it ASAP. I called around and the only one to return my call was this company. They got to my lawn the very next day! Thank you so much Chris and Dave!

Not only is he guilty of fraud and theft of services, he also has been sued on at least 10 occasions and lost all the civil suits. Chris Jones will deceit you, steal your money, and try to run. He will also leave unpaid debts to the vendors he will use on your job, causing a lean to your property! Do your homework and Google his name as well as check him out in the free Pennsylvania websites his license is listed under as well as the free Erie County Court Dockets! Do not become ANOTHER victim of his!
The job we had done was siding, soffeting, gutters, and 2 exterior shed roofs over basement entryways. He used our building in his ad for this website....get your zoom ready...because the siding is not installed at all to manufacturers standards. It has seams that wont lay down and is unlevel and poorly hung. Oh ya...took 15 weeks (when he abandoned our job) we were told would take 4-6 weeks to complete. We had vendors showing up on our property telling us of his unpaid debts with them in their past. Our only saving grace was he wasn't paid in full!
