Save yourself the headache..
I hired Scott 4 weeks ago to replace old stairs I have in my home with a new one. His quote was inline with what other had quoted me. Unfortunately, all others were booked 3-4 weeks in advance and he was the only one available to start immediately so I decided to go with him. After the first day of demo, he left and disappeared on me, he had to take care of personal issues and was gone for almost a week. This was very troubling since I have 2 kids that were living in the house and it was a safety issue with my kids going up and down the stairs. When he came back, he extremely messy and never cleaned after his work with all the saw dust flying everywhere in the house. He didn't even bother to have a vacuum to clean up.
He is a very bad communicator, I felt like I was dealing with my 5 year old and the cat eating his homework.. with one excuse after another regarding the delays and why he has not shown up to finish the job. I finally had to fire him and still don't have the stairs completed. I would definitely stay away from his lousy unprofessional work.
