Scott Sines

Hired Scott to do a deck that was in his words, 'a weekend job-maybe two'. Here it is, January 2023 and the deck is no where near completion. When my boyfriend or I was able to contact him (always via text), we got 101 excuses/lies. And that's even if we could get a response back. I contacted a reputable contractor in December to give me a completion bid, and being the incomplete deck is not to code on many parts, he recommended we salvage what we could, but it would need to be taken down and built correctly. I wish there was a way to post pictures. I'm disgusted that we were taken for $2500 (materials and some labor). DO NOT CONTACT OR HIRE HIM, otherwise, you'll be posting a review like the rest of us on this site.

Much like others here, we have been scammed by the King of Excuses: Scott Sines. Scott is an expert at his craft - underbidding everyone else & then giving you an incomplete job with rushed and sloppy work. He has been “working” on our small deck for over a year now, but hasn’t been responsive for months. It’s almost complete, but he is now dodging our calls and the deck will not pass inspection. I guess the silver lining is that I don’t have to hear his bs anymore. He may be cheap, but you will pay more in stress and frustration. AVOID

HE IS A THIEF HE STOLE 18 GRAND FROM MY PARENTS A 3 MONTH J0B HAS GONE OVER 2YEARS AND STILL ISNT DONE. HE CAN WORK AT OTHER JOBS BUT NOT YOURS. HE HAS A LINE OF EXCUSES THAT STRETCH ACROSS THE COUNTRY. DO NOT CONTACT HIM HE WILL SCREW YOU TOO

Do not contract for anything!!! Funny I signed a contract with him on June 10 2015 and he took me for 2,500. Mine was to cost 5,000 and be done by June 27. Wonder how many other people he stold from??? We have to find a way to stop him and get our money back, Lets team up and conquer him !!! I've already filed a civil suit.

Scott called me in a timely manner after I put in my work request. He set a day & time to come to give me a bid for the job. However, he never showed up for the appointment. I called and left him a message to see what happened and he never returned my call. I hope he didn't have a real emergency, but a call back would have been appreciated. Very disappointed.

I had a contract with him to have a deck built, was supposed to start on June 9, complete by June 30. I paid him $1400 to get the building permit and supplies. On June 30, he had not even got the permit. A week later, he still did not have the permit. I told him I was moving, still wanted the deck, and if he could finish by July 30, he could still do the job. I never heard from him again. I have been trying to get my $1400 back, but he wont take my calls.
