I emailed and set a time to get a free estimate for my three back windows that catch the afternoon sun. The owner arrived on time but from the get go seemed to have this, "I really don't want to be here attitude". After giving me my quote I told him that I had received another quote from a competitor and that they were more expensive. Before I could ask why, he looks at me and says, “Well go with them then”. I was trying to give him an opportunity to sell me his screens and tell why I should go with him, because in my experience cheaper is not better, it is just cheaper. We agreed to a price and to have them installed on Saturday. At 4pm on Saturday I finally gave up and called to try and get an ETA for when they would arriving to install the screens. He called me back about 30 minutes later to inform me he went to some festival that morning and then came home and fell asleep. By this point I am more than feed up, and we agree for him to come out on Sunday morning. When he arrives on Sunday I open the garage to change my shoes and walk him around to the backyard. He passes me by and makes a snide comment about the fact that my sprinklers ran during the night. He heads straight to the back yard and lets himself in and proceeds to install the screens. He does not ask me if I liked them If I thought the color was correct, nothing. He just starts screwing them to my house without getting an approval. After he his finished he tells me he forgot his paperwork and that he hopes I still have the original of the quote. I paid him cash as was glad to see him gone. He was the most unprofessional salesman/owner I have ever dealt with and I will never recommend him or his business. If you like being treated like you’re an idiot and wasting an entire day of your life waiting for a man and company that doesn’t care about you then Screenworks of Dallas is for you.
