    roof

I had a new metal roof and three new rubber roofs put on by this outfit in May of 2015. I am now getting water coming through my third floor ceiling. The insurance adjuster from Erie came out and got on my neighbor's asphalt roof which butts up against mine. He took pictures. The bottom line is that the top rubber roof was never seamed and water got under it and rotted out all of the new board underneath. He also noticed several other problems - where my roof adjoins my neighbors, no seaming, no channel, other problems. I tried to contact Primo DeSanto who was the lead guy on this job. Told me the company is OOB and it is too wet to now get on my roof. I will get nowhere with this person. I would never recommend this outfit to anyone. Now I'm wondering after reading the review above if my metal roof was installed correctly. We paid over 16,500.00 for this job.

    Terrible Contractor

Absolutely horrible. Stay away, unless you want poor work quality, half days of work 2-3 days a week! This so called builder destroyed my entire yard with their equipment and vehicles Not just around the work site, but my entire yard. The workers parked in my driveway and their junk truck leaked oil all over in several different spots. They couldn't even bring their own wheel barrow. They used mine and destroyed it. They also used my tarp and ruined that as well, both without my permission. The last thing they did before packing up and leaving, before the job was finished, was installed 3 of the wrong fence posts to put my fence back up that they took down, damaged and lost hardware to. I had to dig the posts out, go buy the correct ones and install them myself. At least I know the fence and gate were put back up correctly. I did that myself and at my own cost of materials and my labor.
The main man Primo, argued with me when I confronted him about loose ends and things being done poorly. What happened to the customer is always right? Especially after I paid him $3000 cash up front! I'm talking some really poor work quality. I had a real nice building and now I have a building with a butchered up addition. There is also damage that was done to my original building and driveway from their loader.
Primo and his crew pulled out the week before thanksgiving, never to return, and upon leaving he asked for the rest of the money. Good thing I said no. As I said, he didn't finish and never returned. I called Primo and he told me since I didn't pay him in full that he was not returning and we could call it even. He got $4000 of $6000 he wanted, and so far it cost me more than $2000 just for a landscaper and gutters and downspouts. That will not include all the siding to be taken back down and done properly. This is going to cost me a whole lot more, plus the inside was not finished either. I don't know what to say except that I am disgusted to say the least.
So if you want to fight and argue and like poor quality work, and unfinished work then this is your man.
I would not hire Primo again if he was the last "builder" on earth.

One of the worst roofing contractors around. They claim to be members of the BBB and several other associations in their description. Seaboard Contractors is not listed at all on BBB at this time, and the other name they go by, AAA Specialty Contractors, is not a member of BBB, and has received an "F" rating. They have had 10 complaints for product and warranty issues in the past couple years. I got burnt by this outfit, please do your homework on this outfit before using them, and I'd advise against it. I'm out over $10,000 on the deposit I gave them that they would not refund, and extra money I had to pay another contractor to tear botched areas back off and re-do properly. Their installation was shoddy both cosmetically (half of the metal shingles were dented, scratched, or otherwise damaged during installation), as well as not watertight. I had the metal company's rep, as well as a roofing expert (construction engineer) evaluate the installation, and they recommended it be completely redone. The one metal rep said he worked for his company for 40 years, and had never seen an installation done this poorly. I brought up concerns to the owner several times, and never got satisfactory results. He seemed to have no concern whether the customer was satisfied, and made no attempt to fix any issue brought up. When I told him the work was so bad that he had to stop and I'd have to find another contractor to finish it, he showed up unannounced in my driveway and accosted me, demanding more money for the shoddy, incomplete work. I said no way, and he became very angry, unprofessional, used foul language, and threatened to take legal action. His customer service is terrible, quality of workmanship of his crew substandard and shoddy, and business ethics very questionable. I'd give them 0 out of 5 stars if I could. Here is a list of the worst issues with their work: cosmetically damaged many of the singles, inexperienced low paid laborers, placed metal shingles over existing asphalt shingles (acceptable only if wood furring strips used to leave airspace. Placing metal roofing against asphalt shingles will cause super heating and finish will bake off, and void warranty), manufacturer's installation instructions not followed, trims not correct (not from manufacturer), not watertight (sidewalls like against vinyl siding not flashed behind vinyl, valleys not watertight), caulk used in several areas to fill large cracks where they did not flash properly, edges of roof (called rake trim) overhung edge of house by several inches since they did not remove old shingles or shave off edge, several items in contract completely ignored. It was an expensive lesson to learn.
