Very bad- he did a poor job and the roof leaked afterwards, he refused to come back and make repairs. Charged $1000, and now will not take the magistrate summons for a hearing. Works without insurance and provides no warranty. I only used him because our county Bar Association organization have used him and I thought they would have done background. Now I am not so sure, but I know my work was totally defective.
As an update to the above, I filed a court case with JP after waiting months with no response from Shaffer- went to court 12/15/2015, found for me, the plaintiff ,but only got 1/2 the amount because he managed to attack me, and the statement from another roofer,and the pictures and paperwork I brought so now owes me $500+ $160 in my costs. So far, his "lawyer" is attacking me- expects me to sign paperwork agreeing to say nothing about the work, in order for him to repay the finding, that or go to the Sherriff. In any event, not what I expected when I paid out $1000 for the bay window roof job.
