I hired Jeff to remodel my master bathroom. The first day he came with workers for demolition and then left about 2 hours later without letting me know (he did that almost every day). Communication with him was almost non-existent. I asked his workers why he left and received no answer. Hours later I heard a loud gushing noise coming from my kitchen. The workers failed to turn the water off before removing the bathroom plumbing! The ceiling in my kitchen was ruined, my hardwood floors were flooded, and there was a hole in the ceiling between the two floors. I had to live with loud air blowers on three floors for three days. Jeff fixed the ceiling 10 days later, but things didn't get better after that. I was keeping my granite bathroom vanity- Jeff removed the vanity and the backsplash and took the backsplash home-obviously to fix the chips he made in it when removed. When he put it back there were small chips on the backsplash and a chip at the end of the countertop-he tried to cover it all up with epoxy and silicone. The vanity also was crookedly installed and he filled the missing space with silicone-he said that the wall was crooked-it wasn't before! Many tiles in the shower were badly cut and had small chips in them, which he tried to cover up with wide grout lines. He installed the shower niche with a sill I didn't choose or like-and one edge of the sill has a chip in it. The shower holder was scraped with pliers when it was installed. Only one of two sconces was electrically wired- he needed to take down the wall again to wire the second sconce. The faucets were misaligned-he said the holes were even- and the pop-up stopper in one sink was stuck closed. I hired a plumber to fix the stopper and he easily positioned the faucets in the right position; there was a small hole in the floor-I could go on. But worst of all, when he placed the mirror between my two sconces in the wrong direction and I told him it was wrong, he said "No, that's the way you told me to do it," and when I said "that's not true, stop gaslighting me"- he came after me, pointing his finger right in my face and yelled "I am this close to...!" I backed away, shaking, thinking he was going to hit me-after he apologized. The job finally was completed after about 6 weeks. The bathroom looks fine but working with this company was one of the most stressful events I've experienced.
