DO NOT USE THIS CONTRACTOR (I am using that term loosely mind you) FOR ANY GRADING OR LANDSCAPE NEEDS!!!!! BUYER BEWARE!!!
This person, Gabe Sena, talks a good talk let me tell you. Had us hosed anyway, he said he was a Professional Grader with experience in land surveying for flood control. He suggested to put down quarter minus dirt and made a futile attempt to re-route some of where the water should flow into. The flow of the water was an issue but not the only one. The wash had lost alot of its structure because of the wear and tear over the years with weather, it flowed just fine. We just were worried that the wash would overflow into our pool and that's why we hired this person. 6 grand later, the monsoon that hit us on July 23, 2021 devastated our yard. We lost all of the dirt that was put down and the wash was left bare. Now mind you we did hire him to remove our dog run and to flatten that area of the yard in which he did. But the rest looked nice but was not suitable for our monsoon storms. But he was the "expert" right?!! Why not suggest a different type of rock to put down like, I don't know, river rock or rip rap?! What do I know I'm just a HealthCare Professional that saves lives everyday. He didn't make this suggestion because he knew that that would be more expensive and that we would probably work in phases with the large quantity we would need. He wanted to make his money and run and that he did! We reached out to him after the storm and he did come by to look at his screw-up and he suggested that we should have used bigger stone like rip rap (LOL!) and that he would ask around to get prices. Well 6 days pass and nothing! Shocking!!! NOT! So hubby reaches out to him asking why he didn't have the common courtesy to get back to us. And oh boy, Gabe Sena, was suddenly offended said that my husband was harsh with his words and that we should be thanking him that the water didn't damage our structures. Uhhhhhhhh, ok! What the?!! He never replied with saying if he did or did not talk to anyone about rip rap pricing, I'm gonna take a shot here and say he didn't!! Now we find out that he had his ROC license revoked in 2011, we should have done our homework but we believed this man's words!! Not sure how many other people he has screwed over but don't be the next victim to his BS!!
