Sequoia Homes

We are half-way through the build of our dream home and couldn’t be more thrilled with our experience working with Sequoia. We left our first meeting with Maria feeling welcomed and immediately comfortable. The model home she walked us through was impressive, but we still were not sure building was the way for us to go. Over the next few months, Maria was always willing to meet us to see the model again, email, call, text, etc. She was very supportive and available to answer our questions (a lot of them) and ultimately made us feel confident about deciding to build.

As luck would have it, two weeks after we signed our contract, COVID shut down most everything in Michigan, including construction. Sequoia was amazing at proactively keeping us updated on things they could do during this time, and the things that would impact the timeline. Once we were able to start the process of picking out our tile, flooring, cabinets, etc., Julia became an integral partner in the process. Her keen eye for detail, knowledge of all available materials and design sense is far superior to anyone we have ever met. Along our journey, there were a few ideas outside of the normal construction/features that we added. Matt and Julia were great about making them happen or walking us through why they may not work and offered better alternatives. They like to work WITH you because their ultimate goal is to make sure their clients are happy. You don’t ever feel pressured or not listened to.

We just did our first walk-through with Matt and we were beyond thrilled at how patient and diligent he was with all the questions we had. We were very impressed that it was the builder/owner who was taking time out of his day to make sure we were satisfied with the work that has been done. It is evident he takes immense pride in the work he does, and we couldn’t be happier that he is building our home. We can’t wait to see the finished product!
