I had a terrible experience with Mr. Meredith. He was hired to do a few minor projects around the house. He bragged about how he is licensed and professional, and couldn't wait to point out other contractor's faults. He is definitely not professional.
My wife and I were asked for a deposit of half the estimated price up front. We wrote the check for $750. We were promised he would be here between 8 and 9 am the next morning. That did not happen. Instead, he chose to go and do another job on our time when we were promised he would be at our home. He claims he tried to call us but there was a busy signal. No one was on the phone, and we do have call waiting. When he finally did call us at about 10 am, he said he would be over shortly. The last time he called was at 11:45 am to say he was picking up some of the materials. We never heard from him again. Repeated phone calls to him have gone unanswered. He was quick with the check we gave him.He went straight to the bank and cashed it after leaving our home according to the bank records. Thankfully the check wasn't for the entire amount, only half. The check was cashed before the ink dried, but he can't be bothered to show up or return numerous phone calls.
He was well aware that he needed to be here in the morning because an electric stove was being delivered as a replacement for our gas stove and the gas line needed to be shut off. We will do what we have to legally so we can try and get our money back, but I am submitting this to warn others. -

Mr Meredith was very rude and unprofessional and shouldn't hit on a married woman. Would not recommend!!!

On June 8, 2016 we hired Charlie Meredith to do some work in our home. He came and gave us an estimate for $1500, and wanted $750 up front. We wrote him a check for the $750 and as soon as he left our home he immediately went to our bank and cashed it, and we have not seen him ever since.
He was supposed to be at our house on June 9 between 8 & 9 a.m. and he didn't show up. He called at 10:30 and said that he had to snake a drain at someone's house & was going home to change his clothes, then would be coming to our house to start the jobs that we agreed on. At 12:45 he called, saying that he was at his supplier and wanted to know what type of faucet that I wanted Stainless Steele or Chrome, that was the last we heard from him until the next day when I received a text message from the owner of the company Vera Weaver saying that he was in the hospital. When I asked what hospital and I called, they had never heard of him.
We have told him that we want our money back, he was supposed to show up on June 14th by 11a.m., when I messaged him at 1:18p.m. asking what time he plans on showing up, then at 3;59p.m. he had said he just woke up, and it's been nothing but lies and attitude from him since then.
We will be filing a civil lawsuit to recover our money.
I HIGHLY recommend NOT hiring this company to do any work for you, because the most that he will do is take your money & not do the work.
I just want to give fair warning to everyone!
