By SegundoMarch 2, 2020Total Remodel$50,000
I would not recommend SFC Contractors to do a single job. Their subcontractor Elvis Rhaburn is a crook. He gets the check to his name and never finishes the job. SFC and Elvis came to give me an estimate to the project I had in mind for $50,000 and I gave them a total of $35,000 and they ran away with the money never finished the job or answer the phone. I already have my lawyer looking into a lawsuit because this is not fair to the people who work hard for their money and having crooks like Elvis come and just steal your money.
Response from Sfc General Contractors March 3, 2020Wow. Mr. Segundo its a shame you would go on here in attempts to destroy our companies name. Number 1, like you indicated in your statement is Elvis Rhaburn received a check from you in his name and not our company. 2ndly like I told you in 2019 that Elvis Rhaburn has no affiliation with SFC General Contractors. That is a deal you made with him 1:1. Whether he used our company name as a scapegoat to manipulate you to buy into his gimmick or what I don’t know. 3rdly. Me as the owner or anyone representing SFC General Contractors have never met you or have received a Scandinavian nickel from you. So please stop spreading false information about our company. All SFC has ever sent you was an estimate with a proposed price for the work we wanted to do for you. NOTHING ELSE... I truly hope you and Mr. Elvis can get to the bottom of whatever is you guys discussed. SFC Mgmt. All of our work is performed by SFC with honest workmanship and integrity . FYI: All money received is written out to the company, and the company alone. -

I’m a single mother, on disability, who regrettably started a house flip with a subcontractor of theirs (named Elvis Rhaburn ..... NEVER WORK WITH THIS CROOK) for 7 months who never finished the job and beat me out of 10s of thousands of dollars! So I fired him and called (AL/GIA) the owners of SFC and threatened to sue them, which I should have done, but I let the persuasive reverend/bishop duo talk me out of it! Anyways, after explaining the situation to them, they were very apologetic, sympathetic and adamant about completing the repairs for me. They asked me what I could afford and I made it CLEAR that I only had 14K and that I wanted EVERYTHING to be completed for this amount as I had no more money along with a 3 page list of the repairs that I needed done. They agreed, WILLINGLY and EAGERLY, to do the job. I then told them to give me appx 3 days to get other bids during which Al called me everyday ...... telling me he wanted to complete the job for me. Once I got the bids, I SPECIFICALLY told him that I would prefer to go with another contractor because they were willing to do EVERYTHING on my list for 14K. He said that he would do the same. I made it CLEAR that I didn’t want to be “nickeled/dimmed” for any other work/repairs that needed to be done outside of what I had on my checklist as I didn’t have anymore money above the 14k. HE AGREED TO THIS AS WELL! I eventually decided to go with SFC because these contractors weren’t licensed and I would have to reapply with the village using someone else’s license and I didn’t have time to wait on this process. So ...... I went with SFC and at the beginning ..... everything went well. But as they began to uncover errors that their subcontractor ELVIS THE CROOK made that they had to correct, all of a sudden there were things on my list that THEY DECIDED didn’t necessarily need to be done, that they just didn’t do or that I would have to pay out of my pocket to get done! For example, I had on the list to repair/replace a set of glass block windows. When I asked about it, AL said he didn’t do windows and that I didn’t need to worry because the house would sell. Ok. I let him talk me out of that! I put on the list to make sure ALL the windows were working and operating properly. When I noted 2 windows/seals upstairs were broken ..... Al said he don’t do windows. That buyers probably wouldn’t go looking all into the windows anyways. Then I asked them to install an extremely inexpensive metal divider strip where the kitchen tile and carpet meet and Al tried to talk me out of this. Then after I insisted ..... he finally, reluctantly installed it. Then ...... They had their electrician to install a ceiling fan with a remote. I told them the fan only works with the remote but not the switch. Gia said she would send him back out to repair it as it was probably just a glitch in the switch but never did. Then ...... when they declared they were officially done and Gia made it clear to me that she went above and beyond to pay a cleaning company (which she insisted she didn’t have to do) to clean the house, I found that there were paint spots everywhere on the floors, window, etc. Thank JEHOVAH for friends/family who worked hours to remove it for me!
I could go on but ......
THE BOTTOM LINE IS ..... I wouldn’t recommend SFC or that crook ELVIS RHABURN to do so much as to change a lightbulb for me!

I give SFC an excellent rating because they were prompt, professional and reasonably priced. They completed multiple projects for me in a timely fashion,
and I will use them again in the future.

SFC General Contractors are great and honest people. The lady above Lolo filed 2 false reports and she sold her home in the next week
Speaking about how great and beautiful the remodel was. It was unbelievable to us as well that Elvis made a contract with our business card , however she wrote out the check in his personal name!!!! How weird is that!! That’s like you go to buy a cheeseburger from McDonald’s and your receipt saws the cashier name only with no McDonald’s information. We live in the Midwest where there are a lot of scammers. We as SFC General Contractors has never took anyone for their hard earned money. Also the single Mama drama is a new low because once again you made a bad decision to get what you want at the baby and now your stuck with the baby in your hands. Please lady stop coming for our business because we never ever done any wrong to you.
