Sal Conte is a scheming con artist. He continuously lied and postponed meetings once we closed on the home. He was super friendly, generous, and caring until the closing but once he had his money his tune chnaged. He was no longer responsible for things getting done at the house. Parts of the home were falling apart already and he was no where to be found. I would never buy a home from SGC again.

*My first negative review online goes to Sal Conte* Absolute nightmare. He owns 21 Princeton in Lavallette,NJ and rents it out through Birchler Realty. He’s clearly just trying to make money and flip the house. No love for the home or respect for his tenants. He turned our week long vacation into a bitter disaster. The home was waiting for a liability. Not only did he refuse to reimburse us for all the headaches his place caused, but he went ahead and stole our security deposit!! Birchler Realty clearly also to blame for lack of screening or maybe they are part of this scam as well. We’ve been coming to Lavallette for over 30 years and this never happened to us before. Such a shame.
List of issues below:
-Dismantled doorbell with hanging live wires (we had 2 toddlers, 2 kids and an infant, so you see our concern here)
- broken ceiling fan- we pulled cord to turn on and entire fuse blew.
- LOUD fire alarm system went off repeatedly for 2 days which almost resulted in a hotel stay. They tried to fix twice and failed. We spent More time ourlseves trying to fix. Again, we have infants and toddler trying to nap.
-the microwave was busted
-bathroom sink was barely draining upon arrival (but he blamed it on us upon departure??)
-the front dooor keys did not even work so he had to come with his WD 40 to fix locks
- water heater at max temp causing toddlers and some adults to get mild burns on skin from shower and sink.
Thanks for adding in so much unnecessary stress to our family beach vacation and stealing over 8k from us.
