These people sure put the SHAM in Shamrock! We hired Shamrock Pool to fix a large crack in our swimming pool and it turned out to be an absolute disaster! The owner assured me that his company could fix the crack and stop the heavy leaking of our pool, however after one week of work and $17,000 later, a large bulge soon opened up right in the same place where the original crack was. Jan, the owner, came over to look at this new problem and said that it was due to rainwater seeping in. I have lived in this house for almost 40 years and seen many rainy winters with no pool problems, but he promised to only charge us for materials used. We agreed, as we just wanted the pool fixed. Jan ended up charging us another $5,000 for this latest work, which was just to shore up a small area behind our skimmer! My family and I didn't feel that it was worth fighting over, especially if it really was fixed this time. Not even four months went by, when the same large crack opened up again in our pool. That was when I finally got it through my head that the $22,000 work Shamrock had done was for nothing. We found a wonderful fiberglass repair company in Martinez who finally fixed our pool for $6,700, a fraction of what Shamrock charged us. This new company said that the only way to truly fix our cracked pool was to use multiple rebars, one for every foot of crack, otherwise it was like trying to close a gaping head wound with a bandaid! Our pool has been crack free for over one year now, no thanks to Shamrock. Please, let our $22,000 mistake serve as enough of a warning to stay away from Shamrock Pool Fiberglass and find a different company who actually knows what they are doing and doesn't just care about the money.
