Sharp Plumbing came to our building to diagnose the water heater on Monday morning. The problem was a faulty control board. The plumber said that the board had to be special ordered from Michigan and will be shipped through Federal Express overnight. I kept asking the plumber to check if Hirsch Plumbing and Supply stock such a board. The plumber said no. He said the water heater is old and the board has to be special ordered from the factory. We have to wait until Wednesday for the plumber to come back with the new board. The water heater was fixed. On the same day, I went to Hirsch Plumbing to ask if they had the control board in stock. Hirsch said they 5 in stock at that one store I visited and the price is half what the plumber charged me.
If the plumber had checked if Hirsch Plumbing has the control board in stock, the water heater could have been fixed on Monday instead of waiting two more days until Wednesday. I have a lot of angry tenants because of that.
