We have used Shawn and their associated Kitchens of Diablo for a bathroom and kitchen remodel. Both were complete tear downs. They are excellant. Kitchens of Diablo did all the design work and Shawn did the construction. Shawn's wife Shelly runs Kitchens of Diablo. Shawn does more than just kitchens and bathrooms. Kitchens of Diablo provides layouts and 3D drawings to help visualization and helped us pick cabinets (they have models in their show room), assisted in picking appliances, facets etc. Shawn provides detailed costs and schedules for his contracts. The best thing is that on both projects he was on time and within budget. He has a core group of works that specialize in the framing, cabinet and appliance installation, electrical wiring and plumbing. These are real craftsman who work with clients to determine best location for switches lighting etc. Once they start the job and notice that maybe something we selected may not be optimal the let you know and make suggestions to improve the finished process. Any subs he have been with him for years and are top notch.

We worked with SLC on our kitchen last year and they did a phenomenal job! This was the second remodel we have done, but the first time it was actually stress-free. We did not have to worry about anything during this long process of having our house turned upside down.
We also chose them because we knew they would pay attention to the details in a kitchen and they definitely did, especially with our individually hand poured backsplash tile and all woodwork with the base and crown moulding.
Their entire staff was easy to work with, always available when we had questions, and finished on time even though they fully gutted our kitchen down to the studs, changed window sizes, and had to dig through concrete to re-pipe. It was also more than helpful that Kitchens of Diablo put together a beautiful design and did a great job in the collaboration with SLC.
We love our new kitchen and our guests think it looks amazing!
We also had SLC do the rest of our first floor because the process was going so well. This included installation of our wood floors throughout, knocking down an outdoor wall to install French doors, replacing our sliding door, re-doing our fireplace, and adding lighting outside the garage. Again, they were always professional, easy to work with, and left us with a job well done…and stress free.
