We bought a house on March 1st from a seller/flipper that used Shield as their contractor. Every modification that was made to existing property was shoddy. We are going on week 6 in a hotel after experiencing a hot water leak where they spliced a line for a washer in the laundry room. Our bathroom has been ripped out; our hardwood floors have been removed. We (our insurance) are paying $14,000.00 to have the house dried & treated for mold! We recently discovered a leak where they added an ice maker line to the kitchen plumbing resulting in our bottom cabinets flooding! Mind you, the space left for a refrigerator was so small that we had to order a special width to fit & no ice maker comes with the tiny/apartment sized fridge! The A/C units that were installed are 2 different sizes (inside & out)! There was no caulking used in the bathroom. Only grout. The grout was not sealed in the kitchen/dining room. When our kitchen cabinets were taken down, we noticed multiple holes in the walls!! When contacted about the guarantee on their quality of work, We were basically told to buzz off! Clayton will not return calls or emails & even threatened my realtor & asked him to "meet him somewhere outside to discuss this face to face"!! Unprofessional. Shoddy. I could go on & on!
