    Paint the garage

They sprayed paint on everything that they weren't supposed to. Awful. When I looked around the corner at the windows that they had painted completely over I saw that they had used razor blades to scrape the paint off and had left in mid scrape I guess once they had gotten the check from my father. Even left the razor blades on the window sill.

    Paint pole barn
    $300

Scammers is right. They must get around too cause we live in southeast Michigan and a guy named “Jim” from South Carolina was about to paint over the mud and manure on the walls of our pole barn. When I asked him about it, he claimed to not see it. These were splotches of mud/manure about 5” in diameter. I told him either his eyesight or integrity were off, either way I wouldn’t want to have him do this work. When I asked why they didn’t prep, he said he didn’t think it would be dirty. I asked him how many barns he’d painted and he proudly proclaimed over 1000. I told him it was rather remarkable that ours was the first dirty one he had come across ?. Deceptive scammers, stay away!

repair wood on barn and paint barn

Do not hire John or Jack Sherlock! Two major reasons.
    1. Neither Jack or John Sherlock is licensed by Virginia Dept. of Professional and Occupational Regulation. Before I hired Jack, I told him about the bad reviews, including John Sherlock (both are listed in North Augusta, SC). Jack said he was not related to John. At the end of the job, when I told him DPOR had no record of him being licensed, he said the license was under his father's name, John. By the way, John's Va license expired in 2019. Jack lied about having a license.
Secondly, the work was terrible. Hired to repair and paint barn. They got red paint on silver roof, on foundation, and other places. The work repair looked like it was done by a bunch of third graders.

Just as everyone else has said these people are scammers! They painted our barn and did a terrible job and were rude/impolite. The paint they have used in the past is horrible quality and they spray paint everywhere. We had to go out and check on them every 5 minutes to make sure they weren't messing another thing up. DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE!

    paint barn roof
    $1,100

AVOID...the WORST EVER!! I had my barn roof painted over 3 years with a promise to repaint. NEVER happened. Year after year I was given many excuses. Worker broke leg, not in the area any longer. etc. Now after years of leaving messages no one returns my calls. No customer service as this action is simply rude. I am willing to have the missing section only repainted since Eddie PROMISED he would repaint the entire roof. What a bad businessman and such a liar! STAY AWAY for your own good.

    Roofcoat, paint outer buildings

STAY AWAY! DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE! Last summer after painting all of our outbuildings, they talked us into spraying a roof coat on our machine shed to stop the roof leaks. We asked them what will you do if it still leaks and they said they would redo it for free. They gave us an eight year guarantee. It leaks more now than it ever did. We contacted them after the first rainfall and found that we had more leaks. They said they would be up the next week to re-coat it. They never showed. We have called them 9 times and get a different promise every time. They no longer answer our calls. They contacted our sister looking for more work this spring and they told her they would be over to take care of any problems and still have never showed. There is no address on the receipt they give you so any correspondence sent to them is returned to sender as undeliverable.

Paint barn roof and sidewalls. Metal roofs on two machine sheds, two garages and Section of barn roo

Stay away. Had them paint barn, machine shed roofs, garage roofs and barn sidewalks. Paint all over everything, said they would clean it up. Never came back, answered my telephone calls once, won’t answer anymore. Paint on barn sidewalls is coming off after two years. Just sent them a letter a month ago, no response. Ned will give you a song and a dance to get the work. They promise you a good job, paint runs off surfaces like water. Mess everywhere. John Sherlock and Ned Sherlock, N. Augusta, SC

Stay away. Had them paint 4 metal roofs and have over spray on all the sidewalls. Promised to correct it. Won’t answer my calls. Court is next.

    Paint barn and shed

They painted the entire barn and left foot prints on the roof of the shed side to paint the gable end. Claimed rain would wash it off. Still there after 6 in of rain. They left a dumpster full of trash including empty paint buckets (some not used here) and personal trash. Called 4-5 times to get them to come fix the problem. Zac (the owner) kept claiming he would come back to clean up but after a month quit taking our calls. DO NOT HIRE THESE PEOPLE. SHODDY WORK! VERY DISAPPOINTED. When that's the best he can do, that's just sad. Had heard his dad had a good reputation.

I'm Beverly Sizemore, Chesapeake Virginia, Mr John Sherlock painted the tin roofs on our house and barn. He and his workers did a great job for a good price. I will defiantly contact Mr John Sherlock when needed.
