  Building a house and selling it to us

  So many problems its hard to know where to start. Super uncommunicative, the process of buying the house was an absolute nightmare. We ended up living in a hotel for over a month after we were supposed to move in because they built the retaining wall without a permit and couldn't get the ok to move in. Eventually we had to have a lawyer write it into the contract that they agreed to finish the wall within a year and were responsible for whatever expenses were incurred. I've literally had to track Oleh down at houses down the road he was building to try to get the process moving. It's been over a year and still no movement on the retaining wall. In addition to that they built the roof so low that there isn't enough ventillation causing a mold issue, in winter when it snowed we came into the master bedroom to find that the roof was leaking through the light over our bed resulting in tons of water, the roof had to be fixed. When we bought the house it had a gas stove, aparently it wasn't hooked up and there wasn't even gas hooked up. After we bought it he switched the stove to an electric stove. We had to pay for gas hookup and a new stove. The floor started warping, we had to get that fixed. The built in shelves in the kitchen and closets weren't painted or sealed properly so they just stick to everything and the paint comes off. Random caulking all over the lights, leak coming from kitchen sealing through another light. Power issues in our kitchen (we can't plug in or run a microwave or it causes allot of issues), recently we find that our office room's window isn't sealed correctly and is leaking, resulting in the frame being soaked in water and paint chipping and falling, we messaged this information to Oleh over a week ago, he asked for pictures we sent them 6 days ago and he never responded. He put down a huge layer of rocks and barely any topsoil so it's really, really, really hard to plant anything because nothing will go deep enough in the ground. To top it all off there was an infestation of Japanese Knotweed at the side of the property that he didn't have taken care of and now it's taken over the yard and garden beds and is even growing out of the outside of the house.
  I could go on and on but the bottom line is AVOID AVOID AVOID.
  Due to his lack of responsiveness and inability to follow through we will be reporting this business to the Better Business Bureau.
