Sierra Roofing & Solar is exceptional as we have used them multiple times for solar panels (for the March '16 permit) and for a couple of roof repairs including one we're doing this summer. They are very fairly priced, highly reliable and stand behind their work.
Roofing companies typically only warranty their work for 5 years and if something is faulty, they'll only warranty the exterior work they did but not cover the water damage the faulty work caused. I know this because my wife and I own a condo in San Francisco and we used a diamond certified roofing company called Sure Roofing to replace the roof 5 years ago and it has leaked twice causing thousands of dollars of internal damage and the Sure would only fix their fault exterior work.
Sierra Roofing said that they typically will make a customer fully whole for any damage their work has caused. They are also Diamond Certified which I've generally found reflects a very good company but not in all cases as regarding Sure Roofing.

Sierra Roofing & Solar has my highest recommendation. Unlike the two other "Diamond Certified" companies that I chose initially to deal with, Sierra Roofing did not talk about how I could "save money" by convincing my neighbors to call for a bid even before doing any work for me, or about how successful salespersons they were, or how bad some other roofers were. Sierra Roofing folks simply answered all my technical questions, so I selected them. During the job my next door neighbor from his kitchen window (in his house higher up on the hill we live on here) watched them work on my roof, and he was so incredibly impressed with the workmanship that he explained to me in detail how the workers took the time to carefully make specific needed repairs, some of which were obviously unforeseen until the old shingles were stripped off. I was happy to have every repair fixed at reasonable extra costs.
