    Two huge projects

    We have completed two major home renovations (two different homes) with Signature Kitchen, and we are about to embark on a third major project for a home we recently purchased. Needless to say, we have been very pleased with the work performed by Signature Kitchen and have total confidence in Adam and Ericka, the owners.

    In both of our completed projects, Ericka performed the frontend design work. This woman has incredible vision as she opened our eyes to what was possible within our stated budget. She also assisted us with where to purchase things like appliances and light and bathroom fixtures at the best prices.

    After the design work was completed, Adam supervised the construction with a combination of their own employees and subcontractors. He did a great job of scheduling the work around subcontractor availability, and both projects were completed on time. Since completion, we have had a couple of typical follow up/warranty issues, and they quickly assessed and resolved the issues without any claims that the issues were outside the scope or time of their warranty terms. Frankly, a recent issue was clearly outside their time warranty, and they fixed it at their cost with no complaints.

    Now, we are excited to move into our third renovation project with such skilled and honest people.

    Full kitchen and laundry room remodel

    We originally hired Signature Kitchens to install some new kitchen cabinets. When Ericka came by for the first consultation to discuss the cabinets, she showed us how a redesign would give us a more efficient use of the space we had and give us more storage and counter than we originally planned. What a pleasure it was to work with a designer who really knew her stuff and also knew how the contractor would get things done. All my homeowner type questions were patiently and completely answered. Ultimately the redesign was a complete success and we have a BEAUTIFUL new kitchen (and family room and pantry and mud room) with tons of cabinets and counters! The construction phase, although not the most pleasurable experience for us (living in other rooms of the house at the time), went off without too many hitches. Our house is a Meltebeke design and as such, good quality and stout construction. But over the years, modifications by others made for some very interesting discoveries. Adam and his crew never skipped a beat and found workable, cost-effective solutions to any and all problems. They even let me help on some of the ticky-tacky stuff that I am good at just to save a couple of bucks. Of course, there were small glitches like the hot and cold water swap on the moved clothes washer hook up. And the beautiful LED under-cabinet lights that were different color temperatures. But ALL these things were taken care of in a timely and professional manner. We were so pleased with Ericka design skills and Adam and crew were workmanship on this project that we hired Signature Kitchens to redesign and remodel the rest of the house including all new cabinets and tile in two bathrooms. Maybe the company name should be Signature House, not just Signature Kitchens! Overall, even though they are not finished with mine as I write this, Signature Kitchens is a five star, A+ outfit in my opinion.

    Whole house remodel

    Project: Remodel or Renovate One or More Rooms
    Comments: After spending 15+ years in our current residence, we decided an upgrade was due. We interviewed several contractors, checked the CCB website, and talked with previous clients. After completing our *due diligence* we decided to hire Signature Kitchen and Design to complete all the work. From Erickas designs and suggestions to Adams outstanding general contractor skills we were incredibly pleased. Not only did our project include a new, remodeled kitchen with all new appliances, cabinets, lighting, and prep island, but additionally 3 new bathrooms, a completely remodeled living and dining area featuring an *open concept*, new updated windows, hickory wood flooring, tile flooring, gas fireplace, permanent propane tank and plumbing, as well as the removal of existing baseboard heaters, and installation of an energy efficient heat pump. What comes to mind regarding Signature Kitchen and Design is the pride of workmanship and the care of which both Ericka and Adam demonstrated throughout our project. Erikas creative work, including responsiveness to our questions, as well as Adams accessibility and understanding of client concerns was outstanding. To anyone searching for a company to handle all phases of remodeling, we highly recommend Signature Kitchen and Design.

    Before signing a contract please do your homework. Check court records and check with the Oregon Contractors Board.

    Our experience was very stressful and way over budget. Project drug on forever. The job never was completed. They kept all surplus material and there was very little supervision of subcontractors. Got copies of invoices only after we subpoenaed them during small claims process. After three days of sorting through the invoices we found we were overcharged in excess of $15,000. Small claims process was also very stressful. The Judge did not even look at our book of evidence and found in their favor. Overall not an enjoyable experience that cost a lot of money.
