Don't hire this Company!!! They pressure you for money then they do a terrible quality job. When we hired this company we repeatedly asked for their General Liability & Workman's Comp certificates. We were told that he had them and would provide them. They started with an underlayment process and it has lots of clumps and bumps, not at all smooth. We expressed our concern that the color stucco coat would show all of this irregularity. Sigi Marquez the owner kept saying don't worry we will cover that up, it will be fixed. He was asking me to pick the color of stucco and kept pressuring us to pick a stucco with a bigger aggregate in it, I would say no I want the fine aggregate because I want a smooth finish. When he kept pressuring me I asked why do you want me to pick this type, his response was that this type of stucco will cover imperfections. What??? This made me nervous so we requested to see some homes that he has stuccoed with this finish. He hesitated for 4 days to provide addresses. In the meantime he pressured us for more money. When we got the addresses we immediately took a look at them and were so HORRIFIED by the work. Extremely dirty, windows so covered in stucco you won't be able to take the screens off. Stucco all over the wiring, dips and bumps. When told that this house was not a example of quality Sigi's response was "They got what they paid for". We then said we no longer want you on our property and would like our money back. Silence, we didn't hear back from him, until he showed up with a stucco rep. The stucco rep tried to pressure us by saying that if we allowed Sima Construction to complete the job they would give us a warranty. No we do not want Sima Construction to touch our home. We contacted another Stucco Company for a second opinion and were told that the materials Sima Construction used are the lowest quality there is. We now have to pay to have all the imperfections (lumps, bumps) corrected, a new underlayment and color stucco. Sima Construction has left my yard dirty, cement on tile on porch, cement on flagstone, cement everywhere. They did not clean up after themselves. They lost and broke items in the yard. Several windows are stained.
We have now found out that Sima Construction did NOT have Workman's Comp and General Liability Insurance during the time that they were on our property, Sigi Marquez lied. He is refusing to give us our money back. We will be seeking legal means to get our money to fix our home.
Be warned he is a shoddy, shady, lying, greedy contractor!!!!!
