Apologies in advance for the length of this. I never fool with these reviews but felt inspired to do so as a measure of gratitude after my recent experience with Simmons Home Solutions. So here goes..

Ah… the task of picking a contractor for a project. Where to start right? Not always a stress free affair. Call around, ask friends, do an internet search… still kind of shooting in the dark. It was the same for me as I recently began looking for someone to do the exterior siding and trim for my house, as well as finish boxing in all my soffits. All started by me, and thus unfinished as life has a way of focusing our attentions elsewhere… those of you who have built your own house or part of it know what I'm talking about. "It's closed in enough to keep out the rain - we're moving in!" Fast forward 8 years - still no trim. Anyways….

After looking around and meeting with a few potential contractors I still did not have clarity on which way to go. One day as I was driving through Waynesboro I noticed a near completed beautifully remodeled and repainted house. I took a chance and pulled over. I knocked on the door and was waved in by a friendly face. I asked some questions and was then given a tour of the house. I got the contact information for Aaron Simmons and left excited. What really struck me, on top of the beautiful work I was seeing, was how much pride the craftsman had as he showed it to me even though it wasn't his company. I thought "if his employees take this much pride in their work - this is the contractor for me!" vs a grumpy laborer waiting to punch the clock.

I'll save all the details but after Aaron made a visit to my house I was duly impressed and confident he would do a good job. I was right. Everything was top notch. I felt included in the decisions every step of the way and confident that if it was a detail I did not want to think about that the right decision would be made. I never felt rushed as I struggled with a few of these choices. My options were very clearly explained to me to help me make up my mind.

Bottom line… very knowledgable, all around skilled craftsman, pride in their work, upfront and true to their pricing from day one, on time, reachable by phone, returns calls!, very pleasant crew… just all around good people. I would definitely hire them again, as a matter of fact I already did. I was so comfortable with them I hired them to paint the house as well. It was such a blessing to not have to go through the contractor search again. I am looking forward to my next project because I know one of the hardest and most important decisions will have already been made "who to hire to do it?"

I would highly recommend if you have a project (large or small) you at least give Aaron a call… show him what you've got going on and talk it over a bit. I think you'll be pleased you did.
