We did not have a good experience with this contractor. The owner is terrible at communicating with you. His subcontractors leave a mess everyday that they are there. They damaged a pipe belonging to our neighbor's irrigation system and they did not own up to it or fix it. We even had to remove a beautiful Crepe Myrtle tree so that the trucks could get to the back of the house easier and not go on the neighbors lawn which they did anyway thereby breaking the pipe. They totally messed up our irrigation system and it cost us $1400 to get it fixed when the pool was finished. They cracked 2 of our sidewalk cement blocks and re-cemented it but did a subpar job on it. At the end of the job the owner never even called to say thank you for using his company - no communication at the end at all. Took from start (when we signed the papers) to finish of pool - 9-1/2 months. Built a nice pool in the end but take my advice and go somewhere else -- save yourself a lot of aggravation.`
Response from Simple to Sensational Pools Inc May 3, 2019In over 19 years of building and renovating swimming pools in the Central Florida area this is the first and only bad review my company has ever received. I am truly sorry that Mrs. Moccio was unhappy with her construction. That being said, swimming pool construction is a challenging endeavor for any builder and homeowner, you have equipment and workers constantly entering your backyard, excavating, digging trenches, shooting concrete, saw cutting pavers, etc. We, however, perform a final grading and cleaning of the job site at the end of every project and in the end deliver a beautiful swimming pool that you will enjoy for many years to come as this homeowner has expressed. All swimming pool contractors require access into the job site and we tell each homeowner, not only verbally, but it is stated in our agreements as well, that we are not responsible for plantings and underground piping, such as irrigation in that access or in the pool site area. As far as a time frame of 9 1/2 months, the agreement was signed on 3/23/18 and because of zoning issues the permit was finally approved on 7/5/18 at that point irrigation in the pool site area had to be rerouted and the construction began on 8/4/18 and the pool was completed on 12/20/18. This construction also included a 66’ long 3’ high retaining wall that had to be installed as well as a screen enclosure. As far as communication there were no less than 100 contacts with myself and the customers either by phone, text or email, also my field supervisor was continually overseeing the project.

In March 2022, we hired “Simple to Sensational Pools” for an In ground pool project. Construction began in June 2022. I recommend that you stay away from this company and go elsewhere. The contractor did not show up to the site during the six months we hired him. None of the work that the sub-contractors completed was ever supervised by him. After two failed inspections during the steel and gunite step, numerous delays, and unanswered text/phone calls, We were finally able to move forward only to be delayed again by the contractor's mismanagement during the decking and coping stage. We finally decided to terminate our relationship with him due to the lack of response and refusal to accept any kind of responsibility for his poor planning; including having pavers delivered after numerous attempts that never happened. When asked for a timeline or any kind of update, he would refuse to provide any; this was very alarming. In the few times we did get a hold of him, he spoke in vague terms with little to no exact details. At times, the contractor would say that the project would take six months from excavation. When six months came and went, we requested to have an in-person conversation with Mr Hueskin, which he refused to be a part of. During a phone call with my wife, when asked about the delays and non-material delivery, the contractor got defensive and aggressive; we were unable to complete the conversation. The contractor went on to blame his subcontractors and suppliers. Despite the project being financed, the loan company had no response from him and provided with options on how to proceed.
