SISU Builders replaced locks on a door, installed an entrance gate, & repaired a sliding barn door for us. These projects were completed satisfactory, invoices were received, & bills were paid. Also, SISU Builders arranged for a subcontractor to install a service entrance on our property, & this was done satisfactory. However, our problems began w Josh Jipson (SISU Owner) when we received our invoice for the service entrance project. Note: Mr. Jipson's practice is to send an invoice w title project listing & billing cost. When we received our service entrance invoice, the billing amount appeared excessive...$1600 for (2) wooden post, empty service box, & labor. Therefore, we asked Mr. Jipson for an itemization on material & labor. Surprisingly, Mr. Jipson responded w anger, defensiveness, disrespect, & unprofessionalism. He spent a great deal of time & effort justifying why an itemized invoice was inappropriate. We explained we had no prior estimate, the charged amount appeared excessive, & we wanted to know exactly what we were paying for. However, Mr. Jipson remained resistant, upset, & in our opinion, allowed his emotions to think for him. He projected an egocentric attitude, & a position that this request was beneath him. In short, Mr. Jipson had a major reaction over a minor request; & he spent more time comprising emails supporting his position, than what it would have taken to provide a (3) itemize cost list (wooden posts, entrance box, & labor). Unfortunately, Mr. Jipson's demeanor & opposition was very concerning for us, & lead us to believe something wasn't on the up & up w our invoice amount. We advise our service entrance bill would be paid in full upon an itemized receipt, & Mr. Jipson responded w the threat of a lien on our property. Unfortunately, we lost all trust in Mr. Jipson's leadership & integrity. Ultimately, SISU Builders lost our home building contract opportunity over such a minor issue. As professional people, we wouldn't recommend this company.
