SKS was not qualified to do the work he claimed he could do to correct the landscape on the side of my house where rain water was washing the soil away. He charged me almost $7,000.00 to bring in more soil, properly grade the land and hydro seed. Well, that really never happened, first he never set the grade properly to allow the rain water to run out to the road, he said he brought in more soil than what he actually spread out, he had another contractor hydro seed the disturbed area and sprayed some of the solution on my siding. Two days later after he completed the work it rained and the water started to wash out the soil again and because he didn't grade the property correctly it caused the water to build up in my back yard the size of a small lake and remained there for several days after it rained , a good breeding area for mosquitoes. I called SKS and he made no attempt to correct the problem, the only thing he said to me is he could do more work for me for another $10,000. Then after the grass started to grow it died and in it's place grew crab grass even though I watered the grass every day and night like he told me to do, again after I told him about the grass problem the only thing he told me was to fertilize, why would anyone in their right mind fertilize crab grass, plus again he hinted on getting more work from me and not correcting the work he had already done. There's more but I think by now you understand my experience with this person. Just one more thing, the building inspector was inspecting the new house being built across the street from my home and talked to the excavator and said maybe he could help me. But I had already spoke to him the day before and he told me he would grade the same side, seed and fertilize for only a small fraction of what SKS charged me. I hired him to correct the work and very pleased with his professionalism. I definitely would not recommend SKS to do any excavation work.
