    Decks and Porches project

Tony and his team did a great job on my deck rebuild throughout the entire process. His proposal was very affordable and detailed, they started without delay and worked diligently and professionally at all times, and would have finished under schedule if the fire smoke did not temporarily stop work just before completion. His team is friendly and really know their jobs. Tony is collaborative, flexible and communicative, keeping me informed all the way through, explaining everything they were doing, conferring with me promptly on any issues or recommendations, and regularly physically checking on his team and progress. I have had some bad experiences with contractors in the past, so my experience with the Skycore team was that much more impressive. I will definitely use them again!

    Bathroom Remodel project

We recently completed a bathroom remodel project with Skycore Construction / TA Financial Project Management.
Overall everything went well. Tony is fun to work with and very collaborative! He was able to get the job done on time and within our budget despite some delays that were out of our control. For example, the San Francisco Department of Building Inspections was shut down for a few weeks due to the COVID-19 shelter in place. While that was on hold, he was able to stage some other work so that everything could move quickly once permits were filed

One of the reasons we went with Skycore over the other comparable bids was the level of detail Tony provided in his estimate. It really helped us to plan and make good decisions along the way. He was also very open to our ideas and showing us how they could be accomplished.

The end-result was amazing! Our bathroom was in bad shape (dry-rot, cracked tiles, and some surface mold). There was also some damage to the kitchen ceiling below the bathroom due to water leaking through the cracked tiles. They took care of everything and the result is a completely new bathroom that we are going to enjoy for years to come. All of the crew that worked on the project were highly professional and very respectful of our space.

I would definitely consider hiring Skycore Construction again!

    Bathroom Remodel project

In choosing a contractor, I relied heavily on reviews---from BuildZoom as well as what I could find through internet searches. Not only did Tony have great reviews, his bid was very competitive (I had quotes from 4 other companies).

Tony provided a contract that contained a detailed itemized list of the work/cost, which I found very helpful. When there was an issue that required a change order, he would send me pictures of what the problem was and explain it to me. I like the subcontractors with whom he works; they were all very polite and professional. I've received a lot of compliments on the quality of the paint job! Tony also finished the work in a timely manner so that I could move into my new place on time and he was easy to get in touch with, if I had questions or needed something.

Some things that I think can be improved upon are:
    1. Better communication about the schedule (e.g.,exactly what work is happening on what day since there were some things I wanted to be onsite for),
    2. Better explanations of the different work/processes that were going on (e.g., if you're having marble tiling done, you should spend time laying out the tiles in the pattern that you want otherwise it can look disjointed---this is not something I would have known but a friend pointed this out to me)
    3. Tony and I have different aesthetic styles so I tried to be as clear as possible with the look that I was going for, even if it wasn't necessarily what Tony would recommend in terms of general standards (e.g., my vanity lighting is a bit higher from the ground than the general recommendation of 75-80 in because my lighting fixture is a bit longer than normal and I like where I have it)

Constructive feedback is just that---points of improvement but not enough to lower my star rating. I had a really good experience working with Tony and I would not only recommend him, but I would work with him again. Thank you, Tony!

    Other project

Tony came, looked at the job, sent an estimate within budget and sent a crew. It took three days, the project is well reinforced and will last a long time. The crew was efficient and worked hard. They repaired a pergola, retaining wall and garden gate. I will hire this contractor and his team again.

Bathroom / Entry Way Remodel project

    1. 2 bathrooms, remove toilet and baseboard, marble tiles installed, grouting, sealing, toilet installed, baseboard installed and painted, carpet tucked in
    2. entry way - old tiles and baseboards removed, marble tiles installed, baseboards installed and painted
The Skycore/TA financial team did an awesome job with completion time of less than 3 days. The team purchased grout, baseboards and one of the toilets. Ramon and Mario installed the tiles intricately with 1/16" spacing in all 3 areas. Danny did a wonderful job with the baseboard install and paint. Toilet worked good. Most importantly, they were so clean!!! Very reasonable price. Communication is excellent. I am one very happy customer. Two thumbs up for Skycore/TA financial.
