**DO NOT WORK WITH THIS COMPANY **
Have you ever had the misfortune of dealing with a service as deplorably abysmal as Small Town Solar or with individuals as untrustworthy as Erik Beck and Tanner? It is an egregious affront to customer service and a gross violation of basic business ethics.
Erik Beck, a so-called sales representative, and Tanner, the ostensible owner, are not merely untrustworthy, they are the embodiment of duplicity and dishonesty. The level of deceit they display is not only outrageous but also a stark illustration of the depths to which they will stoop to swindle unsuspecting customers.
Small Town Solar's incompetence has left me reeling from financial losses that are simply staggering. I am now shouldering a financial burden that is twice my original electricity bill. They installed a subpar system that barely supplies half of my home's energy needs, and now they have the audacity to demand an additional $8000 to deliver on their initial promises.
Mark my words, engaging with Small Town Solar is a financial disaster waiting to happen. You will lose substantial amounts of money, be subjected to deplorable service and be left in the lurch by Erik and Tanner, the epitome of professional malpractice.
I implore you to avoid Small Town Solar at all costs. Save yourself the financial loss, the endless frustration, and the appalling lack of integrity embodied by this company and its reprehensible representatives, Erik and Tanner.
If I could give this this company a ZERO star, I would!
**UPDATE ... RESPONSE TO THEIR COMMENTS **
It is abundantly evident that this company is nothing but a continuous stream of feeble excuses. They engage in the deplorable practice of shifting blame and pointing fingers at others. Let me remind you that regardless of whether an individual is a full-time employee or a 1099 contractor, if they represent your company, they are still your responsibility.
I possess a substantial amount of incriminating evidence in the form of text messages, emails, and recorded phone conversations. Should any potential customers desire to witness or listen to this damning material, I encourage you to reach out. You are even welcome to personally witness the abysmal quality of their work yourself. Furthermore, I invite you to verify the records of the city of Colorado Springs and El Paso County, where you will find evidence of the protracted duration it took them to obtain the necessary permits. It fell upon my shoulders to conduct all the necessary research and liaise with the city authorities, as Small Town Solar claimed they were incapable of securing permit approval.
Initially, I had awarded them a pitiful one-star rating. However, the owner, Tanner, pathetically pleaded with me to revise my rating, making empty promises that I would not encounter any further issues. Yet, predictably, they swiftly returned to their abysmal standard of service.
I am not the sole dissatisfied customer bestowing upon them a solitary star. Countless other patrons share my grievances and have experienced identical issues. I encourage you to peruse their reviews, and you will find a plethora of unhappy customers echoing my sentiments.
THEY HAD MY SYSTEMS REPORTING TO COLORADO SPRINGS UTILITY THAT IT WAS PRODUCING TWICE AS MUCH AS IT WAS REALLY PRODUCING.
When I reported the issues, I was told that it was not a high enough issue for them to worry about it. I had to demand that they send someone out to figure it out. It took over a month for them to resolve the issues.
I WILL AND MUST GIVE CREDIT TO ONLY 1 GREAT EMPLOYEE THAT THEY HAVE. KIS HAS BEEN THE ONLY EMPLOYEE THAT SMALL TOWN SOLAR HAS THAT REALLY CARES ABOUT THE CUSTOMER.
Do not allow yourself to be deceived. All of their purported five-star reviews originate solely from their own employees, friends, and family members.

Install took forever. No communication. Still have a huge bill from the electric company. Now I get to pay two bills

This company is the WORST!!!! Lazy! Unprofessional!!! And downright rude! In addition to the multiple issues that presented themselves during the install, they installed a system that doesn’t generate the power I was told it would! They are trying to blame this issue on shade from the trees in-front of my house that are causing the problem even tho I have surveillance from my security cameras that show consistently day after day the shade never touches my house!!!! So I’m paying full price to my utility company and paying for solar panels that aren’t generating even 1/10 of the power I was told they would when I signed for the system! This company will not even send someone to look into the issue!!! Then to make matters worse, they won’t email me the information needed to claim my solar tax credit even tho this job was completed in November of 22 and I should have been sent that info in December! January at latest! No amount of calls, messages or emails has prompted anyone in this company to do their job which I guess shouldn’t be a surprise to me! So they installed a defective system, won’t look into or remedy the problem and are now cheating me out of my solar tax credit! DO NOT USE this company for solar!!!! If I could leave 0 stars, I would!

I was very impressed with the professionalism, friendliness and wiliness of the employees to answer any questions that I had and to help solve any problems that I had came up, this includes the installers, office staff and Jeret. I have no complaints, and thank you for treating me like I was a valued customer. I would definitely refer your company.
