Permits

If I could give this service provider zero stars, I would. We hired Mr. Nick Barrell of SNB Services to do some electrical work in our home. Here are some of the issues we encountered:
-Mr. Barrell did not provide a written estimate for his work. When asked how much the work would cost, he said it wouldn't take more than a couple of hours. He charges $70/hour, so imagine my surprise when he finished the work and told me I owed him $640. If you should decide to hire Mr. Barrell in spite of this review, insist on a written estimate. I learned this lesson the hard way.
-Mr. Barrell does not do what he says he'll do. He said he be at our home within a four-hour span. He never showed up and didn't even have the courtesy to call.
-Mr. Barrell said he was in a hurry, but would return to resolve any unresolved issues. I texted him two days later with an issue, but didn't receive a response. I texted him the following day, but still no response. I phoned several times, but, to this day, have not received the courtesy of a callback.
I've incurred additional expenses with Robertson Electric to complete the work that Mr. Barrell left unresolved. I've written to the BBB, and am planning on taking Mr. Barrell to small claims court if this isn't resolved quickly.
Do what you can to avoid the upset I've incurred from dealing with someone as unprofessional and unresponsive as Mr. Barrell.
