SHOULD NOT BE ALLOWED TO DO BUSINESS!
Absolutely worst experience of any contractor we've ever dealt with. We should have followed the guidance of the above review by another homeowner and stayed away from this company and Marek, but like her we were initially taken by Marek's friendly demeanor. They were also recommended by Porcelanosa where we purchased our tile. We have since advised Porcelanosa of this problem and strongly suggested they not refer this company to their customers. His actions (or more accurately inaction), however, were completely different. After accepting his proposal for a bathroom tile install, we had "confirmed" a tile date in early June. Well after taking the day off from work, his crew never showed up and he completely ghosted us with all follow-up communication. He then wrote a few weeks later, apologized, said something came up and was not able to do it then, but could confirm for early August. At that point, we figured it was only a few extra weeks wait, we had not looked for another installer yet, and so we "confirmed" again with Sobolewski and Marek for a date in early August 2021. And you guessed it! AGAIN, NO ONE SHOWED UP. We called their number at 203-979-9802, no one answered, we left a voice message, we sent a text to that number and also emailed them at their company email at [email protected], but there was no response from anyone. Completely unprofessional and we have no idea how they are even licensed or allowed to do business like that! Do yourself a favor (unlike us) and STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY regardless of how friendly your estimator is!

We’ve been dealing with the company’s co-owner Marek. He seemed to be a very trustworthy and nice guy, when we initially met with him. We were scheduled to begin tile installation in our house (700 square feet of tiled floor) on January 7, which would have been about a month after we accepted his proposal. When we reached out to him on January 2nd to confirm the time of installation, he was very unresponsive for days. Eventually Marek wrote back and apologized, but apparently he had a family situation and he was abroad in Poland. He said the installation wouldn’t start until after January 11. So we decided to wait. A few days of delay was acceptable for us at that time. But nobody showed up on January 11 and we got no responses from the owner for many days. Finally we heard back from Marek on January 22, when he claimed he was still abroad. This time he had health problems and again he asked for us to wait, until he would come back to the country on February 3rd. We were promised a new date of installation on February 4th. Guess what? Nobody showed up at our door today. We are so behind with our move-in schedule. Not only did we lose a month, but now we have to look for a new tile contractor. And how long is this going to take??? In the meantime our appliances are sitting in the Family Room, because there is no floor in the kitchen.
I’m so disappointed with this seemingly nice guy’s demeanor. Such a terrible customer service. Totally ignorant and unprofessional.
