By Julie M.September 15, 2022HVAC project$13,000
We haven't decided just yet but So Cal Climate is definitely in the running. The gentleman that came, Landon, was professional, friendly and knowledgeable. The price was almost half of the other quote we received. We are confident that So Cal Climate would do a good job.

SoCal Climate Control finished installing a new central A/C condensor. They did great work, showed up exactly on time, did the job with no complaints and cleaned up after themselves. I can't compliment them more. Don't hesitate to use this firm

This company used a third party company to work in my home without my consent. The agreement and contract was directly with SoCal Climate Control, not with a third party company. I was not aware of this until the company supposedly completed the AC & Heating installation and it was horrible. The work was entirely unprofessional and there were so many mistakes and corrections. It has taken so many weeks for the company to address the corrections. In addition, customer service is also rude and unprofessional. I do not recommend this company.

What a joke! Contacted them online to make an appointment. I get an email asking me to call or schedule an appoint via email. I email them dates/times and get a follow up email to call. It took forever to schedule the appointment over the phone. They schedule the technician for 9AM-11AM. At 10AM, dispatch calls and says the technician was in training and will call me around 11AM. Why would you schedule me if the technician was in training? The technician calls at 11AM and says he's leaving another job and will be there in 30 mins. What happened to the training? An hour and a half later, the technician calls and says he's outside. Waste of time!!!

Very negative experience. The tune-up was unprofessional and misleading. The primary goal of the technician seemed to be selling a new unit. After a very superficial inspection, a small leak in the system was diagnosed and it was recommended replacing the entire system (condenser and furnace). Even though the system was otherwise working fine, no attempts were made to locate the leak. Recharging the system was offered at $225 per lb of refrigerant, estimating about 7-8 lbs of refrigerant required for a total of about $2,000 (just recharging, without even fixing the leak!). A simple online search revealed that the R22 refrigerant can be easily found (ebay for example) for as low as $300 for a 30lb tank (or $10 per lb, less than 5% of what was quoted). Furthermore, my system holds about 9 lbs of refrigerant, therefore it is impossible that 7-8 lbs where missing, since the system was running and producing cold air. Confusing and questionable information was provided trying to convince that replacing the system was the best option, such as "I don't even know if the compressor is running". Really? I don't see how the system can produce cold air without the compressor running! The tune-up was supposed to include the filter replacement, but the filter was not available at the time of the visit. The technician said he would deliver the filter at a later time, but it never happened.

By Barbara T.August 17, 2020A yearly maintenance on my air conditioner$35
So Cal Climate came out for a simple maintenance tune up for my air conditioner. Right after that the fan wouldn’t turn off. I called back & Ryan came back & had no idea how to work my Nest thermostat. I had to finally get it back to where it was to begin with. Finally the fan was turned off. A few days later the unit is the garage was seriously leaking . He came back again & said it was probably from the earthquake on July 30. By the way we never felt. Next thing I knew I received an estimate for over $600 to repair with no guarantee & suggestion to replace the entire unit for thousands of dollars. Interesting how for the 20 years I’ve lived here nothing like that ever happened before Ryan came. Now what do I do? They are blaming it on an earthquake we never felt nor my neighbors felt. I feel as though I’ve been scammed! Help!! Barbara Taber. West Hills , Ca.
