I agreed to a fee for the projected and anticipated work. The actual work necessary and actually performed was much less than anticipated, yet I had to argue for a reduced fee...which was finally reduced by 7%. The final cost was still grossly high for the work performed. Additionally, the technician who performed the work simply faded away upon completion of the work. Although I was sitting right around the corner, he left without any mention that he was finished. I only discovered that he was gone when I went into the work area, and no one was there! All the other contractors I hired for this project were exceptionally competent and fair. I regret that this contractor came up short.
