  The customer service is absolutely horrendous. The worst I have ever dealt with from any company- ever! The woman answering the phone is beyond discourteous. I called for propane prices & had she listened to me, she would have found our tank was originally purchased from them. Instead, she told me not to call again & hung up. I called back asking to speak to a manger or anyone else & she called me a "loonabin".. twice to be exact. It was only after I told her I intended to spread the word about their horrible service did she call back with a more respectful tone & asked me who I was & what I was calling about. I told her I had just learned everything I needed to know about their organization & had no intent of using them. As I went to hang up, she yelled, "You're not even local", presumably because my cell phone number is not 717- however we have been in Lancaster County over 10 years. Solanco Propane has lost my respect & all my future business - not only for our primary residence but our rental properties as well. They have, however, earned a disgraceful reputation which I intend to share in hopes of preventing others from enduring the same nonsense.

  After more than 20 years as a reasonably happy propane fuel customer (I didn’t have the sort of experiences summarized above), I recently had a very poor experience when trying to have my propane stove serviced by Solanco Propane. After several visits, my stove problem persisted, so I was forced to go elsewhere for service.

  To be clear, I had been reasonably happy with the propane fuel delivery part of their services, I just could not recommend the heating services they offer.

  Now, most savvy businesses would not let a loyal customer reach such a point of frustration in the first place; but they did. However, upon receiving a poor review, one might then expect the supplier to reach out and try to make sure the relationship was still intact. That never happened. In fact, my wife and I received a “Dear John” letter (signed by the office receptionist, not the owner with whom I had been communicating) saying that because of a negative review, they were severing the relationship!

  What a class act!!
