Do not do business with this contractor. He is dishonest. He is a thief. We signed a contract. He took money to start the job then never did any work. It was one excuse after another. His first excuse after taking money & setting a start date he called the day before to say "his father was having heart problems and was in the hospital and he understood if we wanted to back out." We said "no, we could be patient and would wait. This dragged on for months." Then he claimed our windows needed replacing "he could do it" he'd send his dad to count & measure our windows" or we would have to get a bigger heat pump unit for the additional living space per county code and "he has a guy" that does Heating/Cooling. We got an estimate for a new unit from "his guy" but in the end, we didn't go with "his guy" we went with Craig Krueger for a new TRANE system heat pump/AC. Now we're up to code for Hernando County. Mr. Solino says "we're a go" he sets a new start date. I called him the Friday before just to see what time he'd be showing up on Monday morning? His response "I'm in Texas doing work from Hurricane Harvey damage. I'm going to be far too busy to do your job." He didn't even have the decency to call and say I wouldn't be there on Monday.
When I asked for a refund, he refused. I was going to take him to court to get my money refunded & get him for breach of contract. Unfortunately, a few months later we had to move out of state so I dropped it.
I would definitely avoid this contractor. Definitely don't give him any money until he is done or almost done with the job.
