New roof process was fairly fast and smooth as can be. Pro crew, and great materials. They we're meticulous about clean up. Not sure what that other review is about. These guys deserve a shout-out in my mind. I haven't so much as found a single nail left behind.

    New roof

Would never use or recommend this company again. Had them do a project for me and they left a HUGE mess. It was a tar and gravel roof, and as the guys were removing the previous material, they put down NOTHING to contain the mess they were making. Then the owner of the company told me they were “hesitant to do the job in the first place because there was already debris on the ground and were scared they’d get stuck doing yard work”, basically trying to cover himself by saying the roof gravel was already there. You could tell it was different because what was already there had NO TAR on the rocks but what came off the roof did and the rocks were a significantly different size. They also left a huge mess of rocks on the inside and told me that it’s MY responsibility clean it up because they “never entered the house and were unaware of it”. They sent me pictures of roof decking spaces more than 1/4” apart so obviously it fell through due to that and it’s not their responsibility to clean up? They’re basically saying I just shoveled a bunch of rocks and scattered them throughout the house, who does that? Very unprofessional company I would steer clear of, don’t waste your time or money. Wouldn’t doubt if most of their reviews are fake.

Response from Sonners Contracting Inc March 1, 2019
Mr. Gibbs, As has been previously discussed with you, Sonners Contracting Inc. dose not feel it is our responsibility to clean up debris left behind by other contractors you've hired for your fix and flip project. As was promised, the pictures showing that your tar and gravel ballast roof had been inspected for a roofing leak, which resulted in some of the gravel being swept off your roof, have been sent to your email. Additionally, as we have also previously discussed with you, none of the other debris, such as the tar ballast, which lays below the gravel on your roof, was found on the property (barring the two quarter sized chunks we found on the ground), none of the shingle waste was found on the property, and none of the decking material waste was found on the ground. So to say that Sonners Contracting Inc. left a HUGE mess and didn't bother to clean up after ourselves, and that we put NOTHING down to catch the roof debris, is simply not true. Concerning the debris that made it in to the interior of your property, you submitted a picture showing a swept pile of construction debris which was laced with insulation and drywall particles, from the holes your other subcontractors left in the ceiling of your property when they gutted it and removed the HVAC ventilation and plumbing vents. If your ceiling were a finished closed ceiling in which all the drywall had been patched, any roofing debris that fell through the cracks between the decking boards would have been caught in the attic space between the rafters. Furthermore, if this were a scenario where we were working on a completed home and not one that was under heavy demolition, we would have obviously cleaned up any debris that made its way inside, but that is not at all the state which your fix and flip was in when we arrived. When we arrived, your property was predominately gutted and still under demolition. As you know we sent our crew back to your property twice to clean up what you concluded was our mess, and neither of those attempts satisfied you. You were then offered financial compensation to hire additional labor at your convenience to come clean the property exactly as you saw fit, which you denied. And finally, after writing this scathing review, we sent our men out once again to address the issue, and you turned them away. So that being said, Sonners Contracting Inc. apologizes for our inability to make you happy on this project.
