John works through a general contractor named DRS Stairs that took advantage of my 93-year old mom for $$$$ on AC repair/ replacement and roofing, which was contracted through an irresponsible woman who deemed herself "manager" of my mom's commercial building in Santa Clara and knew them personally.
My incapacitated mom unknowingly paid DRS Stairs over $100k to fix AC and Roof issues.
I became the legal trustee and manger of the building in late 2016. I found that most of the work my mom had paid for had been done in a shoddy way. No permits, no maintenance, improper installations, short cuts, wrong type of AC units, improper ducting, and worst of all no response to complaints the units are still not working properly. This has all been confirmed by a formal inspection provided by my attorney.
Even a unit South Bay Mechanical replaced in 2017 still doesn't work properly and they refuse to fix it. I was forced to hire an attorney. I have given both of these companies every opportunity to fix their shoddy work and make good. They refuse. I am filing a complaint with the CA Contractor's Board and pursuing legal action.
Sadly, I trusted John at first because he was honest when he admitted to me the previous work had been done improperly and attempted to fix the immediate problem on one of the units. He seemed to take pride in his workmanship... but at the end of the day, he never fixed the problems and he chose to stick by the crappy contractor who rips off old ladies. Nice.
