My contractor used South Pointe to do electrical work for a new construction project. It seems that the person was too busy to get to our place. Every week, we would ask our contractor when electric would be done. He would say that tentatively they would be here next week.
A couple months of waiting for them, we were wanting to get the final electric done as soon as possible, as the project had gone on too long. As I have some electrical background, I decided to do what I was comfortable with. I purchased quite a few plug outlets and switches. I drove 2.5 hours each weekend (and the same time back) to put in what I could do. I had this mostly done. I figured if they were too busy to do electrical work, that they would appreciate a little head start.
The last week I was going to be over there to finish what I could, they finally had their crew over there. They were taking out the outlets and switches I put in and were putting in new ones. I was at least glad that they showed up. I was going to have my contractor talk to them to ask why they were redoing work.
I do not know what they did with the ones they pulled out. I could have used them on a project I had coming up next year. But they are now gone. Not certain if the new outlets were just thrown in the trash. (There were still a couple ten pack boxes of outlets and and covers that were unopened that were gone).
I also brought in quite a few light bulbs for some fixtures I had. They used four of them in the garage. I do not know what happened to the other 28 bulbs I brought up. I assume they took them with them. I had to buy more bulbs.
