***Beware before looking in to spicola AKA RestoWrk working on your home during this devastating time.***
They are also known as RestoWrk. We have been working with Lauren who I believe is the project manager I could be wrong. I had nothing bad to say about Lauren with her personality side.
Spicola was hired by our homeowners and insurance company Florida peninsula insurance under an MRP program. Upon coming home from my grandfather‘s funeral, January 10, we came home to water on our floor, which was caused by a waterline leak. Spicola started on around the end of April. Here we are the second week into October and we are left with an incomplete home. The owner Joe and Lauren were last at our home September 12 and advised of a punch out list consisting of:
- Install cover/door around plumbing under kitchen sink
- install piece of cab filler to the left of dishwasher
- hook up dishwasher
- paint two different doors and touch up paint
On September 24, Louran advised she was working on her team would be out the following day. On September 30 Louran advised that she thinks it’s best that we should split ways, after I was asking for all of the pictures associated with our claim. This request was originally sent to Florida peninsula insurance, however, they advised that whatever I had questions on was to be dealt directly with Spicola.
Both of my parents need assistance as I came to find the ending of July. Due to the fact that we have a two-story home, it would be hard for them to get upstairs and our downstairs is incomplete. We now have to try and hire and come out of pocket to have what they left in complete completed. With that being said, we all know that individuals are going through much more serious issues with the two hurricanes that have just came through in less than three weeks apart. We completely understand this as we would just be reaching out to companies for quotes. Spicola had plenty of time as we stayed out of their way to complete our home.
FYI-something I wish somebody would’ve called me on before. They started working on our home. Make sure you ask individuals that are entering your home to do work if they are licensed and insured. As a homeowner, you have the right to ask these questions and have them provide documentation.
I say this because some of the workers that came out I can’t imagine that they are or have completed large jobs because of all of the extra work we are going to have complete completed to make sure things are done the correct way. I will be uploading photos that I have of incompleted work on a review that I have the option.
