We purchased our home in the Fall of 2017. Our experience was very good. They have responded to our needs in a timely manner. Rhia has been great. I would certainly recommend them. We love our new home in Las Cruces.

BEWARE! research for yourself, speak to previous home owners who have used spirit view homes. He does not stand behind his word. They promise you help thru the whole process but it is a lie. The only person who you can reach when needed his his secretary...and that is not all the time! It has become a nightmare! his choice of subcontractors is a joke! the problems are too many to mention! The only good review was the only one on his website from 2011! Check out all the complaints filed. There should be an investigation the only thing he cares about and the only time he will talk to you is when it is time for the money/draws!
Take it from all the homeowners who have had to have reinspections and seek other avenues to get something fixed. STAY AWAY -

Oscar Padilla is a fraud and should have his license removed. He does not truly care nor have his clients best interest at hand when building a home. He simple cares about the money and quality is not a thought in his mind when building a home. Do not take my word for it do your own research and the truth will be revealed. He's money hungry first versus client oriented with the clients best interest at hand. Stay away from spirit view homes a truly utter disgrace to builders.

He his not a man of his word, talks about having faith in him , he knows nothing about faith , only cares about the paycheck! It's about the only time he will talk to you, and builders trend is a joke!

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER! Here's the story... So, Oscar signs a contract in February to produce a house by Jun 15th. He's got the cash locked down so then he ignores the contract and doesn't break ground for approx. 1 month after agreement. He begins to build and continuously makes mistakes which deviated from the blueprints of the house. I remind him of all the mistakes and he gets behind the timeline. Then tries to say the blueprints are being misinterpreted by me when he's the one who talked me into the specific items in questions. This process lasted over the course of 5 months, when he promised completion of the house in 4 months. I pressed him on the issue of time and his response was that his subcontractors were not reliable because of their background. We amended the contract so that he would pay $3000 if not completed by 5 July. On 5 July when the house wasn't complete he took up the position that he wouldn't pay the $3000...in place, he offered me a check for $1000 to sign the closing docs. Fast forward, over the course of the next year we submitted warranty claims on things like a huge leak over the garage, leaking skylights, leaking toilets and sinks, dead plants, leaking sprinkler system, and now after ONLY a year the under-mount kitchen sink is separating from the counter (that shouldn't happen this soon, obviously improper installation). Now that we have tried to get him to honor his warranty he has deleted our Builder Trend account. BTW, we have recently found that the roof was not installed to NM state code. So, I recommend checking to ensure you have proper slopes and that you have flashing in all locations where the roof meets a vertical wall. If not, reference the NM State Construction website to file the complaint with the state. He has problems with water, his warranty, and credibility

We purchased our home new from Spirit View in 2007. When our air conditioner wouldn't turn off, that was a clue that something wasn't right. We had someone from Spirit View come out and they determined the thermostat was not installed properly, so they messed around with it and were on their way. The problem is that did not fix the problem. The air conditioner would run constantly and not cool down the house at all. Later we found out that the AC was made in 2004 and put on a brand new house in 2007! We continued to have problem after problem with the unit that Spirit View was either unable or unwilling to fix. Every time they supposedly "fixed" the unit, it would break again a few hours or days later. Not only that, but we found out it wasn't even install on the roof properly. It was put on four legs so all the weight was directed into four spots on the roof instead of being evenly distributed.
Eventually we took matters into our own hands and replaced the unit at our own expense, and the owner of Spirit View refused to reimburse us for our expenses, saying we should have had him replace it. Hello? If you didn't install it properly in the first place, weren't able to fix it after multiple calls and put on a unit that was 3 years old why would I trust you to put another one on there? That's totally absurd.
We also decided to change our front door, and the guy installing our new door showed us how the old door was secured using only 4 short screws. I checked the other exterior doors and found the same problem. There are also spots along the ceiling where nails are starting to poke through the drywall. I'm not sure exactly what is going on there, but it sure better not be a structural problem.
The design of the central air system is also very poor. The AC is located on one end of the house and the air return is located not far away inside a hallway, so the result is that the air mainly circulates inside the hallway and the two bedrooms attached to it, and hardly any air gets into other parts of the house. So the hall and bedrooms are freezing and other areas are warm or hot. At the very least the return should have been located in another area that would provide better air flow.

We built a house for rental with Oscar Padila, Spirit View homes. We would give him a 5 stars for the price and 2 stars for the warranty. Our first tenant moved out after 7 months. The husband showed me the entire top of the garage door paint was rubbed off and he showed me the shower head. He said that the plumber used the wrong pipe to connect to the shower head. The pipe was sloppy painted and it does not come with the shower head and the paint came off. I texted his foreman, Rhia on Nov 20 about the paint. Rhia didn’t reply so I texted Oscar on Nov 26th. No reply so I texted Oscar and his paint contractor, Meraz Painting, on Jan 3rd. After this 3rd try, Oscar replied. He said “Catalino will be there tomorrow afternoon. This was Jan 9th. Today is March 30th and we are still waiting for Catalino. We think maybe Oscar has too much business and has no time taking care of customers who already paid him or maybe he has no power over his contractor. We need to give one star for the Meraz painting company
