Joseph worked with our whole family on behalf of our elderly parents who live in NM. His crew showed up on time everyday and cleaned up around the home before leaving so that there were no tripping hazards for my parents. Joseph ensured that all the layers of old roofing came off instead of roofing over as other roofers had done in the past. He and his team are very polite, respectful and patient with our many concerns and questions. The work is outstanding quality. Our family highly recommends Splendid Builders and Roofing.

Contacted and received a bid. Printed and signed a contract and was given an estimated start date. Start date came and passed with zero communication. I contacted Splendid Builders and roofing and Joseph showed up at my home the next evening, reviewed project scope and promised me another start date. That second start date also came and went without contact of any kind.

I emailed Joseph Martinez cancelling my need for there help. I never heard from them again.

Joseph and his crew were on time, great guys, good work, did more for me then was discussed. I would recommend them too all and as we were doing my house the next door neighbor got an estimate and had his house worked on after mine was completed.

We would not recommend but here are some facts to make your own decision. Contractor "guaranteed" (his words in email) to be on our job site daily with two employees after I told him a reference said his work was fine WHEN he was there but that when he left employees alone, the quality was poor. He stopped by daily but did not work several hours at a stretch except for one day. A positive is that he replies to phone calls and texts immediately and is ready to come by asap if there is an issue (like rain getting in during the job). Did a reasonable job of sloping the roof to the drains but there are a few puddles still because the supports under the TPO and the plywood were not as effectively laid as they could've been. Had to ask to redo a few spots due to poor quality. If cleaning up daily is important to you, this is not your contractor. They do not sweep or even move their tools daily. Contractor continued to promise he'd "blow it all off" at the end of the job, and then he didn't do that. Most concerning, he doesn't "hear" your problems or concerns during or after the job, just continues to defend the work. We wouldn't recommend them, and another contractor who saw the work later found it substandard, though he is a really nice guy and makes a good impression. Make your own decisions.
