RUN DON'T WALK from Stacy Pike's Painting and Remodeling.
I should have questioned these "professionals" the 1st day they showed up to work. Part of the work to be completed was to replace some bad siding. Not one of the workers brought a cut table or a saw blade specifically designed to cut Hardiplank cement siding.
Since I made the mistake of paying the painter $800 upfront, I was more or less forced to let them work. (J. Pike will ask for a partial payment upfront before he starts the job). DO NOT make the mistake I made and pay for work that has not yet been completed.
Other unprofessional practices on the site:
- Workers left the job site trashed most days
- I had to remove (with the help of a neighbor and his son) a truck full of old siding and scrap material to the dump
- Most days J. Pike brought one or more of his seven kids to the job site. While I like children, I don't think a job site where power tools are being used is a place for them to spend their day.
While most of my house is painted, there's still a good full days work of painting that needs to be completed by a crew of two. It's been 2 1/2 months and I don't foresee Pike's painting coming back to finish the job. The painter won't even take and/or return my phone calls or text messages. He assumes I'm just going to go away.
I have since learned of three other people in my subdivision that hired SPP&R to paint/remodel their houses. ALL THREE say their houses were left unfinished by Stacy Pike's Painting and Remodeling.
J. Pike will talk about being a Christian and his seven (7) kids he has to feed. Many folks will believe that he's a good Christian man looking to provide for his family & will hire him. If you hire SPP&R PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE don't make the mistake of paying him a dime in advance.
