This company is a joke! Totally unprofessional and unknowledgeable! I hired them to install a Generac generator which they assured me they were capable of. I purchased the generator from Menards and sent Stargate the specifications on the generator and the model number. The owner of Stargate assured me that there would be no problem installing that particular generator and the job would take about 3 hours. Well that 3-hour job turned out to be almost 3 weeks. The subcontractors that he sent out were clueless as to how to properly install this generator. They had no idea how to connect the electrical components to make the generator work. The first day that they were there they worked until it was pitch dark outside. Then they came back the next day and still they could not figure it out. The person that was working on the natural gas cut holes in my ceiling that were totally unnecessary trying to find the natural gas connection that he could tap into. This fiasco continued for almost 3 weeks. The electrician had to consult with someone from generac in order to get the generator hooked up properly. When the electrician was on the phone with the owner one evening he did not realize he was on speaker phone and started talking about me the customer negatively. I was more than patient with these people and for him to talk about me like that was totally unprofessional. When they finally got the generator working properly it's hook them another week and a half to repair the drywall that was cut unnecessarily. When I asked for a reduction in their estimate due to all of the inconveniences he agreed to take $50, a measly $50 off of the balance! That literally solidified and confirmed to me what type of company they are! This company is ran by a bunch of uneducated and unprofessional individuals. Do not hire them for anything you will be sorry!
