Statewide Contractors

These guys are the worst.

They showed up offering to repave the driveway at a fair price stating they have “commercial grade” asphalt leftover from a local municipal job and they can complete it in a day. It took several days for them to get the job done, and they said they would come back in a few months to finish the job with a slurry coat, then give us a two-year guarantee.

After depositing the checks, they never came back. They will tell you a lot of stories about how honest and how professional they are, but in my experience, they are incompetent and unethical.

Save your money and go with a real company that provides a clear contract, good references, and will stand behind their work. These guys are trash.

We got half our driveway done for $10,000 looks good when they leave then find out they hit the garage the blacktop is not smooth and has grass growing up through it we called and left a message, but of course no one called back. Not a good deal ?

A person can tell me what I want hear. Be so courteous. BUT YOUR ACTIONS SHOW WHO YOU REALLY ARE. Recently experienced 2 large dump trucks, one pulling large trailer with equipment on it and they seem to feel it's ok to park wherever they feel like. Especially on a PRIVATE LANE that clearly has signs stating a PRIVATE LANE , NO TRESSPASSING. So the fact they scraped up the lane(which is maintained by 6 residences including myself). We just had it sealcoated last fall and people like Statewide Contracting don't care and/or respect these situations. I had a police officer called(whom arrived after contractors left) but I have plenty of pictures to show and prove the trespassing etc. I could have them charged with trespassing and possibly criminal mischief cause of the damage but I didnt want that. Figured I'd give them a chance to at least make an attempt to coat the area to blend in a little bit more. Especially after to speaking to owner Eddie Williams, PROMISED ME not to worry that he'll make it right. So , all those 5 star ratings previously must be their family members making up a story. Count my stars...............not gonna contact Judge Judy for this I guess ...... Hope they all sleep good at night.

Very professional and considerate. Offered all the legitimate paperwork and receipt. Offered us a good price also. I would recommend them.

I was solicited by a salesman from statewide contractors and agreed for them to pave my driveway they did a very professional job they ripped up all the old asphalt in front of my garage and paved me a beautiful brand new driveway my husband and I love it!!

One of the company’s salesmen stop by and gave me an estimate I like the price and sign a contact they started and completed my driveway the next day good job guys another satisfied customer

I was out mowing my lawn and was approached by a young gentleman asking if I would like an estimate on having blacktop done after talking to him and telling him what I’d like a price on he gave me the measurements and price and I signed a contract after looking at both our schedules we decided on a date and they was out bright and early that day they finish my driveway and I live it I’m very satisfied with them and recommend them all the time

They were in my neighborhood and stop by and ask them to come take a look at my driveway they gave me a fair price and started on me the very next morning and it looks beautiful they are prompt and on time

Hired them to pave my driveway early fall of last year with the promise they would seal free of charge this spring and they are a company of there word they sealed and made sure everything was holding up like it should yes I would recommend them

Hired this company based of the reviews and I’m glad I did they put my driveway in and installed a retainer wall and did such a nice job it looks good definitely recommend them

First off let me start with I don’t normally write reviews, but the young salesmen that worked with me said they run off word of mouth so I thought I would give them just that. This company is very respectable to there customers, they listen and go out of there way to make sure they leave you happy! I’m very pleased with the work they did and how they conducted themselves when hired to do my driveway I would recommend them over and over!!

If someone pulls up in your driveway in an unmarked black pick up truck and identify's themselves as STATEWIDE CONTRACTORS, immediately call law enforcement. Like the previous reviewer's mentioned, they are scam artists. After they completed my job, I felt I had been taken advantage of and went online and researched them. After reading all the negative reviews, I notified the bank and put a STOP PAYMENT on the check. Ten days later they reappeared back on my property and mentioned there was something wrong with the check and we had it out, big time! I went inside my home and obtained my checkbook and offered to pay them for the cost of materials if they could provide a receipt, which they were unable to provide ("I have copies out in my truck!") Then, all of a sudden (like magic), a second person came out of the truck and identified herself as the Owner/Supervisor and we started all over again. After awhile, she said I was the "scam artist and I should enjoy their free work!". There was nothing free here AND it still cost me $30 for the Stop Payment! I was more than willing to negotiate a FAIR PRICE but they clearly wanted ALL or nothing at all! The phone number on their '''receipt''' lists a phone number in Fort Washington, Maryland which they also admitted to owning, however, their website address on the receipt takes you to legitimate contraction the State of Florida, (they claimed out of date)!

We just had this state wide contractor do our driveway they did a horrible job on it cost us 7000 dollars they also lie to use they should have to pay us our money back they told us 4 per square yard which they didn't even do that we got rip off

These people present themselves as kind and considerate, until you pay the bill, which they did not give a contract and started working without permission, the driveway is small maybe 10x30 and cost 7800. Well to their surprise the bank notified my parents, who are retired, and suggested we call the police. Bottom line, they were arrested for theft by deception.

These contractors are the worst unethical people I have ever run across.
They intimidated an elderly woman and started work at her house without her permission. Then they would not tell her how much this driveway was going to cost until she signed a blank work order (a form like you can buy at Staples). Then they charged her thousands of dollars too much. They offered her a small refund (it was only the amount of what they overcharged her by their miscalculations of their own figures). Then the rate they charged ($7.00 per square foot), is ridiculous. The area contractors in Maryland (I got many quotes), only charge $2 to $4 per square feet to put asphalt on a driveway. THESE PEOPLE ARE SCAM ARTISTS AND PREY ON THE ELDERLY.... DO NOT USE THEM!
