  bathroom leak

  As others posted on here, wish I would have read these reviews before having Mark Tavenner do my work, now I hope the work he did do was done right. Nice guy I think but would not have him work for me ever aging. One project he did not replace the water value with a new one and charged for a new one, and there is broken screw to hold a fixture now being held by one screw not two and this is in the bath plumbing, I can say more but I think I said my point. Hire Mark at your own risk, and his said warranty forget that one will not even answer your calls.

  Don't waste your time. Very similar experience as previous reviewer. Mark showed up to start the job after multiple cancellations. On the day he was scheduled to return to finish job he did not show up. No call and no response to my texts or voicemail message. He basically abandoned the job. Wish I would have read review prior to hiring him.

  Toilet install

  This is a hard review to write. There are a lot of good, hard working contractors in the Anchorage/Eagle River area, but Mark Tavenner is not one of them. Mark at Stellar Remodel failed to show up TWO DAYS IN A ROW. Maybe some people can afford to stay home from work for two or three days without getting the service they paid for in advance, but I won’t give my business to someone who has no integrity or work ethic. Mark was scheduled to install 3 toilets at my house. He called me the day of installation to push the appointment from early morning to late afternoon. I had been home all day waiting for him but arranged for my adult daughter to come over and let him in. He messaged again that afternoon to say he couldn’t make it but would come the following morning. Next day, he messaged to say he was headed over. Two hours later I messaged asking for an ETA. An hour after that he said he was still at a job with “extras” the homeowner asked for. I asked if he was still coming, and an hour and a half later he said no and wanted to come the following day. No apology, no acknowledgement that I had missed two days of work and he was assuming I’d happily miss a third, not to mention my adult daughter dropping her plans to be here and let him in only to have him not show up. There are many fine contractors in Anchorage/Eagle River. Don’t waste your money or time on a contractor who clearly has no regard for his customers or their time.
