    Roof replacement, Chimney Repair

    Dominguez, W
My ever lasting mistake was to hire Stephen Carlucci aka SC Contracting ll LLC, to replace my roof, repair my chimney. I signed the contract on August 12, 2021and to start the project; half the $ was provided. I was a painful 3 months of frustration. Stephen kept me working one day with his crew and then not showing up for the next three or 4 days. This continue until about a week before Thanksgiving. In October of 2023 I started to notice small leaks around the roof vents, I had to resource and used a couple buckets, I reach out to Mr Carlucci to no avail. I got an independent contractor to check replace and seal 5 vents. Now in two different locations I'm seeing strips of shingles falling from the front and side of the house, (west and south side) where the sun is the strongest. I reach out to Steve on August 8, he said he will take care of the problem August 11 0r 12, 2025 and to to this day he has not showed up. I keep receiving a bunch of personal excuses, and that he has to hear from one of his worker to stop by and resolve my issue. Please, all, shop around before you hire SC Contracting ll LLC.

Let me see, where do I start...As a fellow Christian, I was disappointed in Stephen's planning for our bathroom remodeling. The work itself wasn't bad (it was reasonably priced , and bathroom came out fairly satisfactory) but the planning was terrible, since remodeling a bathroom was to take 2 months but ours took 4 months. The Total Planning Breakdown : 1) He didn't let me know the square footage of the bathroom. He only guessed how much tile we needed. , and so we had that estimated amount he told us inserted into the bathroom wall. Once we saw there wasn't enough tile to complete the rest of the bathroom wall ., I went to Home Depot only to find out that that particular tile was discontinued . So I had to have Home Depot order the remaining tiles we needed. We waited 3 weeks to get those tiles (putting the bathroom remodeling on hold), but they never came in after all. So we had to go to different tile stores until we found one that carried that particular type. 2) There was lack of timely communication. : Instead of informing us ahead of time to have the shower doors put in, , he told this to us 3 weeks later after the tile work was completed. It took more time now for the bathroom to be done, looking and choosing the right shower doors, and we had to wait another 10 days for the shower doors to come in. 3) Bad form of communication: My Christian friend has a short temper and is easy for him to get mad. I saw this when he left a good radiator in with the garbage plumbing pipes. When The garbageman picked up the garbage, there went the radiator with it. He was angry at this, but rather communicate this to me in a civil manner., he was shouting, accusing me of making this error. , in a denigrating manner. and 4) They did a sloppy job: The light fixtures above the cabinet were not lined up with it and the vanity as well. It obviously appeared misaligned , and it looked like the worker didn't want to fix this mistake, and was easier to walk away and not care about it. .
