I started to do some deck board replacement and discovered that I had some damage to my sill. This fibding was very disturbing to me. I noticed that my neighbor was having some work done by this contractor SGS, so I went over and talked to my neighbor and worker (Joe), whom were both impressive. Stephen Grimes came by very promptly to review the project and put my mind to ease. Even better was the quality, speed and price of their work. I also had them do additional work to my house and then put their services to work at my daughter's house. Very impressed with their quality and mannerisms. Would recommend them.

Our friend recommended us to GMG construction for a basement renovation project. All I can say is their quality of work and professionalism will not disappoint you, highly recommending anyone to work with Steve. He and his right hand man Joe were flexible with any changes along the way. They are detail-oriented, collaborative, and friendly to work with. We could not be happier with the outcome.

We cannot say enough good things about GMG construction. In fact, we were so happy with their work on a smaller jobs few years ago, we couldn’t wait to work with them again for a much larger project. From start to finish, we appreciated Steve’s responsiveness, honesty and respect of our budget. He took our plans on paper and made them a reality for our family. Five stars is not enough. Over the course of six months Steve and his right hand man Joe not only transformed a little starter home into our dream house, but they also became a part of our family along the way. Their professionalism and quality of work was exceeded only by their friendliness and communication. Our scope of work was large, yet they held our hands through the entire process while being very open and collaborative throughout. They were flexible with any changes we had along the way, and the subs Steve has on deck are second to none. We could not be happier with the outcome. We were able to double the size of our home without being displaced for more than a long weekend. Anyone that sees our "new" house asks who our builder was and how they can get in touch with him. We would (and have) recommended GMG to any and all friends looking to do work on their home.

We had a bad experience with this group overall. Our project was putting in a foundation, 2 rooms, a deck and a pool. It also included levelling out our plot a little. Firstly, most of the material used in the construction was just OK - we are finding out now. A lot of corners were cut in the electrical work. For instance, the electrical panel was put in the sun room and we were told it is "code". It could easily have been put in the study room we later found out. Finally, and this got me to submit this review, the contract said he would fix the yard (grade and seed it). When he did it, a lot of corners were cut in terms of the loom soil that was put in and the way seeding was done. It was obvious that it would not work. We brought it upto him and he assured us that he would come back and fix it. Trusting him, we paid the money in full. Of course, he never takes my calls now! This is just downright cheap. I am disappointed.

Steve and his crew were an absolute delish got to work with, from beginning to end. He was respectful of our budget, and approached our bathroom renovation with such thoughtfulness. As new first time homeowners, We we’re pretty anxious about the project, but Steve put our minds at ease, and was always responsive, professional and kind. The final product exceeds all our expectations, and is just beautiful. We were almost sad for the project to finish because we loved having Steve, Joe, and Mike around so much, such friendly and fun guys! We’ll be customers of GMG for life and will be proud to refer to them every chance we get.

The GMG crew demoed and renovated our entire house, expanding it from a one-story ranch to a 2 1/2 story modern home with an open floor plan. He has great carpenters working for him and they are conscientious and detail-oriented. Steve had a very competitive bid as we got several other estimates. Our large project was completed within budget and timeline. We would recommend GMG to anyone wanting to renovate or add an addition. We love our new home

Stephen and his crew completed out major kitchen remodel involving removal of two walls and beam installation, full plumbing (new gas line install) and electric. He designed and installed a hallway closet and installed three new doors and a large window. The job was completed in 60 days - we expected less time actually but we were delayed by the cabinets not Steve. He set up a temporary kitchen for us with sink, and went to bat for us when we needed it (the granite company ran out of slabs of our selected color and he found one that had it within hours). Quote and final cost were competitive and lower than most quotes we had. He uses cost effective materials- if you want high end be sure to detail this with him. We couldn't be happier!
