I want to start by saying that Steve Hunter is a nice guy. However, he's an absolutely awful contractor. If I could give him negative stars, I would. We hired him to build an addition to our home. It was scheduled to take 4 months at most from start to finish and almost a year later, it's still not even close to being finished. There's also very little that was built properly and he also managed to destroy most of the existing house in the building process. The list of damages includes: walls, floors (most of them...carpet, pads and subfloors), ceilings (all of them!), furniture, our hot oil furnace and most of my sanity. We also have 2 staircases that he built that do no meet building codes and have to be ripped out and replaced. The windows also don't meet building codes, which would perhaps have been less irritating if we found this out while the house was going up and not after the walls are painted and the windows are trimmed like we had to find out. We have door frames that are not large enough for the 32 inch doors the rooms require and electrical work that is questionable at best. So, if you're looking for a nice guy to sit and chat with, Steve's you're guy. If you're looking for a contractor find yourself someone else, STAT.

So, if you're looking for a nice guy to sit and chat with, Steve's you're guy. If you're looking for a contractor find yourself someone else, STAT.....After all of this, I filed a complaint against Steve Hunter with the BBB and the Attorney General....both of which he chose to ignore and there was no resolve through either of those measures. One of the things in my request with both the BBB and the Attorney General was to see his building licence revoked. Someone who produces as many damages as he did and with such utter disreguard should not be allowed to continue in his trade....to which Steve Hunter replied, "You don't need my licence as I'm not longer working for myself". I see he's popped up here under a similar name so I'm leaving feedback again. Please, before you hire a contractor, take the time to check them out! You'll be glad you did.
