    Full Master Bathroom Remodel

    Steven Roberts is currently doing business as Optional Creative Solutions. Steven is an artist and craftsman. We hired Steven to complete a full Master Bathroom remodel and he executed the bathroom of my dreams with some unique and unexpected aspects. I appreciated that Steven and his guys were punctual each morning. Unfortunately Steven’s weaknesses are time management, truth and honoring his word. Steven said that the job would take three weeks and finally ended 11 weeks later. I discovered Steven had told several untruths but the one that was most hurtful to me personally was when he told the glass guy that “the owner had not paid so he couldn’t pay him.” I was so offended because Steven had asked me to pay in cash that afternoon but because of the late hour I said that wasn’t going to be possible so I wrote him a check for that week’s installment. The most egregious part of this whole project is that Steven is not honoring his word. Our contract states that all work is warranted for two years and when he left on December 17th he told me “try it out and if you have any problems let me know, I’m in this neck of the woods all the time.” Two weeks later our beautiful shower floor was chipping up and is not functional. My husband has reached out to Steven probably a dozen times to get him to come out and fix the floor. We received the first excuse “I fell off a ladder” and then “he was busy” and now we are getting no response at all. It is so disappointing to walk into such a gorgeous bathroom each morning and want to throw up when I look at the shower floor. I’ve given up waiting and had to pursue other contractors through BuildZoom. The floor can’t be repaired the way it is because the slope is wrong so we will have to replace it at our expense :(
